A Weekend At Mystic Lake

A week went by a very long week, with no phone, no Internet. HELP!

"I'm bored, anyone wanna watch a movie?" I asked my parents who chuckled and joined me.

"How's life without Internet?" Mom asked.

"It's phoey." I sighed.

"You have one more week." Dad said hugging me.

"Well, at least I got what I wanted for a while." I said to them.

"What's that?" Mom asked.

"I get to spend time with you two, like the old times." I said as they both squished me in a hug.

"How's therapy?"

"It's ok, you know I hate talking about the past, but I have to, just so I can let go of that and be able to move on."

"And also to love myself, I get that I don't have the perfect body, but it doesn't mean I have to feel ashamed. I still do a little but that's what she's there for, to help me."

"You're beautiful, inside and out." Mom said while hugging me.

"You're both beautiful." Dad hugged us.

Some teenagers would love for their parents to leave them alone, but I love my parents to and the fact that they're here for me like they used to, means the world to me.

"I love you guys." I hugged them.

"We love you more." They said while hugging me.

It was a hug fest.

Another week went by and finally I was free, and not grounded.

The door bell rang and I went to open it. There stood Hawk with a sunflower.

"Free again." He said with a grin, I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him.

"You would think that's us when we were their age." Mom said to dad.

"Yeah, we were and still are intense about each other." He giving her a kiss.

"I missed you."

"I missed you more." He said kissing every inch of my face.

We went to sit on the couch. "Are they letting you go to the lake this weekend?"

"Yeah, as long as there's no funny business, I swear they're too much." I said making him chuckle.

"Don't worry, we're just gonna kiss, hold hands and enjoy nature."

"Can't wait." I smiled.

The weekend came and we were on the road to Mystic Lake.

Jason was driving and Clara was next to him, I was in the back with Hawk.

Yes our trip alone became alone plus two. That was fine at least a weekend just us four.

"Can't wait to get there, my butt is getting flat." I said making them laugh.

"Two more hours to go, little Dove." Jason said.

"Phoey." I said while resting my head on Hawk's lap.

"Want me to sing you a lullaby?" Hawk asked me.

"Yes, I do love your voice."

He started to sing, so beautiful and calming I ended up falling asleep.

"She's out." Hawk chuckled.

"Who would've thought you would get so romantic for a girl. Not even with your ex you were this romantic." Clara said to him.

"There's just something about Dove, I love how sweet and innocent she is." He said caressing my face.

"We lost him." Jason said making them chuckle.

After two hours we finally arrived.

"Finally, I've missed you ground so much." I said as Hawk just chuckled.

"You're too dramatic." Jason said.

"Three hours in a car is torture." I said, he just shook his head.

"How about we leave this bags in the house and we go to explore town then come back and take a swim." He said while grabbing our bags.

"Okay." I smiled.

We all left our bags and went to town, it was really beautiful.

We came across a little bakery and went inside.

"Hello." I turned to see Cristina and Kayla.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked.

"Well, we got tired of the city, so we bought a house here and let me tell you, it's awesome and so relaxing." Cristina said.

"Was I asleep when you guys moved?"
"It was last month, we tried telling you, but you pretty much kept away from everyone." Kayla replied.

"Yeah, sorry about that."

"It's okay little Dove, how are you?" She asked.

"I'm good." I smiled.

We all joined them in a table and order, I forgot how much I missed talking to Cristina and Kayla.

After eating and talking we said goodbye.

"Don't do anything crazy, baby sis." Cristina said while hugging me.

"I won't." I hugged her back.

"If you ever need us, we're one call away, or a road trip away too." Kayla said making me laugh.

"I missed you guys, hope you visit us soon."

"We will, next week." My sister said.

We all waved goodbye and then they were gone.

"They're so nice." Clara said.

"The best." I smiled.

We left the town and back to the lake where we all went for a swim.

I was having a great time with my friends and I got to see Cristina and Kayla.
