Open Mic Night

After the beach he took me home, we said goodbye then he drove off.

I went inside with a big smile, why? I don't know.

"What's got you smiling?" Mom asked.

"I don't know, but I just feel happy." I smiled.

"Could it be cause of a certain person." She smirked.

"We're friends, though that night when we had dinner at his place, he took me up to the attic which he turned into a escape place to write music."

"And once he was done singing, we came close to a kiss, but were interrupted by his dad."

"After that he hasn't made a move on me, maybe it was cause of the moment." I sighed.

"Give it time, I'm sure he likes you." She said hugging me.

"Maybe, who knows. I used to receive notes and sunflowers, never knew who send them, think they got bored."
"Just you wait, my little Dove." She said pinching my cheeks.

"Thanks mom, I love you." I hugged her before going to my room.

By now it was Thursday, and i got a note with a sunflower, the note said, 'Wanna meet in person? come to the coffee shop this Saturday at seven pm, See you there gorgeous'."

I smiled I was excited to finally meet this person.

"What's got you smiling?" Hawk asked.

"Well they finally want to meet me, says to go to the coffee shop

"Maybe they will be the one."

"Yeah." I said to him.

We went to class, then lunch.

Later that day i asked Hawk to drop me at my sister's place.

"Thank you."

"Welcome." He smiled.

"You sure you don't want to come inside?"

"I'm sure, go spend time with your family, I got a four year old who's waiting for me to bake cookies." He said making me chuckle.

"Alright, save me some cookies."

"You got it, little Dove." He winked, we said goodbye then he waited till I was inside.

"Where's everyone?" I asked Nix.

"Backyard, come on." He said as we went to the yard.

"Sissy!" I ran towards her then jumped making us both fall.

"We got to stop meeting like this." She said making me laugh.

"Aunt Dove." Isaac and Melody ran towards us and got on top of us.

Oh yeah one big hug.

They got off, then I helped Sierra getting up.

"That was fun." I said making them laugh.

"We missed you so much, Auntie Dove." Isaac said hugging me.

"Stay with us all day, we can bake brownies." Melody said while hugging me too.

"You got it, but first I need to talk to my sister."

"Okay." They said before they both went inside.

"What's up, any progress with Hawk?"
"Well."

I told her what happened at his place and about the notes and sunflowers.
