A Day Without Drama

Monday morning came, I got ready for school, Hawk was picking me up.

I just did my morning routine, then grabbed breakfast.

"We're gonna stop by your school to have a talk with the principal." Mom said.

"Too bad Bri and Jojo aren't working there anymore."

"I know, but they're doing better at the University." Dad said.

"I'm going to therapy after class, Hawk will be there with me."

"Is there something going on between you two?" My dad asked.

"No, we're just friends, and he doesn't like me in that way."

"You sure?" Mom asked.

"Yup, we're friends." I said, once i finished breakfast Hawk picked me up.

"Yeah, like mother like daughter." Dad said to her.

"Let's hope he doesn't fake date to get her attention." Mom shot back.

"Touche, baby girl." He said making mom chuckle.

We arrived at school and I was nervous, I didn't want to come across any pigs feet again.

I think he could tell that I was nervous, he grabbed my face and said "I know you're afraid, I also know a change of school would be the best, but you show them they don't scare you."

"You're a strong person, Dove." He said before pulling me into a hug.

"Okay." I whispered.

"Ready?"

"As I'll ever be " I sighed.

We walked together to to our lockers, once i opened mine there was only one note and it said. 'You're beautiful'.

"Is it a nasty one?"

"No, it's a note that says, I'm beautiful." I smiled.

"Well they're right." He said pinching my cheeks.

"Hey little birds." Jason said while waving.

"How's it going so far, little Dove?" Clara asked.

"It's going good, hopefully stays like that all day." I said while resting my head on Hawk's shoulder.

"We will take care of any twathoe and tritches for you."

"Tritches?" I asked confused.

"Troll and bitch." Clara answered

"You and your crazy words." I chuckled.

"You will get used to it, eventually." Jason said while wrapping his arms around her waist.

We went to class, then lunch came.

"Wait, where's your girlfriend?"I asked

"Who?"

"You know, blonde hair, brown eyes, a little tall."

"Oh, that's Carrie and she's not my girlfriend, she's my cousin and even if she wasn't my cousin i wouldn't be with her."

"Gee, thanks." Carrie said while sitting next to him.

"Well, considering I'm not your type."

"I prefer chicks over dicks."

"And you're the famous Dove." She said eyeing me up and down.

"Make a move or I will." She whispered to Hawk, he just shook his head.
