The next morning, Cheryl got ready as normal. Penelope and Nana Rose were out at one of her doctor appointments, so she was grateful for the peaceful morning. She wore a red blouse and black mini skirt with red heels. "I should really add some variety to my wardrobe," She said aloud to herself. She wore her hair half up and half down, in hopes that a certain pink haired girl would like it.

She sighed at the thought of Toni, how she should tell her how she feels and just take her mother's wrath. Maybe she pushed Toni away because she was scared of the new territory she brings. Love, emotions, affection were all things that she was capable of, with the right person. Toni has given her no reason to distrust her, so maybe it was losing her that she was afraid of. Getting so close just to have her ripped away? That would destroy Cheryl...again. Was Toni worth the risk?

A loud honk pulled Cheryl from her thoughts. She looked out her window and saw Veronica standing in front of a limo. Confused, she grabbed her things quickly, ran down the stairs, and out the door.

"Um, may I help you?" She asked, her arms crossed over her chest.

"I'm here to take you to school," Veronica motioned for her to join her inside the limo.

"Well this is a first. Since when are you interested in my school attendance?" Cheryl was apprehensive, Veronica always had something up her sleeve. She climbed in anyway though.

"I am ensuring you arrive at school since you and your little jewel have been playing hookie recently," Cheryl rolled her eyes. Betty and Veronica were relentless. She bet Betty was doing the same with Toni at the moment.

And she wasn't wrong. Betty took a bus to Toni's house that morning. She knocked on the door only to be met by a tall gruff man.

"Hello sir, is Toni here?" She asked but he was already turning around and walking back in the house, ignoring her.

She shrugged and walked inside. Toni was in her room with the door cracked, so she knocked.

"Betty? What are you doing here?" She was shocked and worried, looking around for her uncle.

"Um he let me in, I'm here to take you to school, well actually you're taking me but you know what I mean," Betty stood in the doorway.

"Why is that? Does Jughead know you're here?" Toni asked slipping on her boots. She had on a black tank top, red flannel, and blue jeans.

"This isn't about him. This is about you and Cheryl, also Veronica is making me now let's go," Betty beckoned. Toni rolled her eyes but grabbed her bag and her keys.

"I assume you've been on a motorcycle before?" Toni said sensing Betty's nervousness, handing her a helmet.

"Yeah still not used to it though," She climbed on anyway and they sped to school.

The girls arrived at the same time. And although they all made eye contact, Cheryl and Toni went separate ways, not even speaking to each other.

"Don't worry Betty, our plan will work come Vixen practice today," Veronica assured and they walked inside together to find their boyfriends.

Come practice time, Cheryl and Toni hadn't spoken a word to each other. They were all on the gym floor making posters for Spring Fling.

"Who do you think is going to win the crown?" "I bet Veronica is going to beat Cheryl." "Um there's no way that's going to happen."

Toni rolled her eyes at the girls not so quiet gossip. Toni didn't care about winning, she just wanted to take Cheryl. She sighed and went back to doodling on her poster.
