Chap 10

Tati's POV (Saturday)

We were waiting for Justin, Allison, Erica, and Tom in a building. "Wow," I said looking out the stained glass window. "You can see the whole city from up here."

"Did Justin really have us meet them up here at nine am?" asked Drew.

"Yeah," said Alexis. "And this place is what they call Watch Tower."

"We know this," I said.

"So, now that you girls know that you're performing, what songs do you plan on singing?" asked Drew.

"How many do you allow us?" I asked.

"Three," said Drew.

"We have Let It Slide, Home, and Hard to Breathe," I said.

"Can we hear it?" asked Drew.

"Just one," said Alexis. "And I do mean one."

"Okay," said Drew. "Blake, choose the song."

"Home," said Blake.

"We'll sing Home," I said.

"Hey," said Justin walking in with Allison, Erica, and Tom.

"Hey guys," said Alexis.

"You're going to have to hear the song tonight," I said.

"Oh, about the concert," said Tom. "We're attending."

"You'll be in the VIP room with us then," said Drew.

"Well, welcome to Watch Tower," said Allison.

"You sounded just like Chloe there," I said.

"You walked in right when they were about to sing," said Drew.

"Really?" asked Erica. "Let us hear."

"Yeah," said Justin.

"You guys wanna hear us sing?" I asked.

"Well, yeah," said Justin. "Alexis did say that there's a possibility you are are singing today."

"We are," said Alexis.

"Well, we wanna hear a sample before the concert," said Justin. "Can you really say no to the emerald archer?"

"I can't even say no to these guys," I said. "Alexis, ready?"

"Let me find the instrumental," said Alexis.

"You're amazing," said Blake. "You don't need music."

"Just do it acapella," said Drew.

"Okay," said Alexis sighing as she put her phone in her pocket. "Ready?"

"Start it," I said.

"I crashed straight from heaven to your hell. And I know that you're no angel," sang Alexis. "You're broken and battered but I fell 'cause your scars, they make me feel I'm not alone."

"Ah, ah, ah... I'd rather be in the dark with you. Ah, ah, ah... Than in a lonely light," I sang. "Ah, ah, ah... I'm not afraid I'm in love with you. Ah, ah, ah...yeah."

"'Cause I need to feel you now. I need to hear your sound. I don't care that you bring me so low 'cause all that I know is you feel like home, yeah," we sang. "I need to breathe you now. I need release somehow. I'm wrapped up in your skin and your bones. And all that I know is you feel like home, yeah."

"And that's where we're stopping," I said.

Everyone clapped. "Wow," said Justin. "The shows going to be good."
