DamonikaStephens, here you go. I had fun writing Quackerjack despite not knowing much about his character.
You're pretty sure he likes you.
That had to be it right?
You can't be this prone to trouble, right?
You can't be!
No one falls into danger almost every day. No one is constantly kidnapped by his enemies.
No one that is just a civilian, right?
Civilians are the background characters no one cares about. They're boring. But, you've come to notice, they're interesting when in danger. That's when they really mean something.
By this definition, you meant something.
But you didn't know what.
Or why.
At least, you didn't until Quackerjack took you hostage once again. By then, you were well accustomed with each villain so you smiled when you saw him.
"Nice to see you Quackerjack," you said, smiling at the jester. "Have you been clowning around lately?"
The villain let out a boisterous laugh, before his expression turned into a very serious one. "No."
Your smile didn't drop, already used to his mood swings. Now it couldn't be more than a few minutes before he brings out-
"Quackerjack, I think she's making fun of you!" Mr. Banana Brain said. "That makes me sad, boo-hoo!"
Quackerjack returned his voice to normal as he shot you a pained look. "You made him cry! Apologize right now."
You sighed, and turned to face the puppet. "I'm sorry, Mr. Banana Brain. I wasn't trying to make fun of him."
"You don't have to apologize to him."
You turn to see Darkwing Dark standing high on a street lamp above you.
"I am the terror that flaps in the night," he says, starting up his famous speech. "I am the bad punchline at the end of your jokes. I am Darkwing Duck!"
He leaps off the light and lands gracefully in front of you.
"Here to save your girlfriend, Darkwing?" Quackerjack asks.
You tune everything else out as the pieces click in your mind.
Oh.
Oh.
"Darkwing," you say interrupting his spiel. "Why didn't you tell me we were dating?"
