Chapter 7

Mackenzies pov

Lauren, Nadia, & I were having a dance party in our bedroom. We were singing along to Ariana grandes new song.

"Just keep breathin' and breathin' and breathin' and breathin," we sing along.

The song comes to an end and we collapse on the bed out of breathe.

"How long have we been dancing for," Nadia pants.

"I think an hour," I reply.

"We could be backup dancers," Lauren says.

We all burst out laughing.

"Oh my gosh, I have to show you guys something," Lauren exclaims as she quickly gets up.

"Show us what," me and Nadia say at the same time.

"Follow me," Lauren says as she grabs our arms.

It's 9:30 pm right now, we finished dinner a while ago.

She leads us upstairs, there's this huge room with a couch, tv, a billiards table, a ping pong table, and air hockey.

"This is our game room,"Lauren explains as she walks over to the closet and gets three blankets.

"You should've shown us this sooner!" I exclaim, "Nadia lets play ping pong."

"No that's not what I wanted to show you guys," Lauren says as she climbs onto the couch.

"What the heck are you doing," Nadia laughs.

There's a skylight above the couch, Lauren opens it and climbs on top of the roof

"Common guys," she calls.

Me and Nadia look at each other with excited expressions and climb onto the roof with Lauren.

"Woah this incredible," I gasp.

"Oh my gosh," Nadia squeals.

"The view so beautiful," I stare in awe.

"I know right," Lauren agrees.

"Let's play some music," Nadia suggests as she lays out her blanket and lies on top of it.

We stare at the sunset as it sets, and before we know it we are staring at the black starry sky.

"I've never been on top of a roof of a house before," Nadia says, "I feel like such a baddie."

We all laugh.

"I love summer so much," I say.

"Right, I'm never going to be able to leave this place," Lauren says.

"I'm so nervous for 11th grade," Nadia sighs.

"Me too, 10th grade was so fun. I miss it," I agree.

"So what's with you and Hayden," Nadia squeals as she turns around to face Lauren.

"Omg is it getting serious?" I ask excitedly.
