Chapter 14

Mackenzie pov

Me and Johnny haven't been talking that much after what happened between us. It's a few days after that horrible day. Today is Friday, we only have two full days not including today to spend at the beach. We are leaving Monday evening.

Me, Nadia, and Lauren are chilling on the beach. A lot has happened in the last past days, Lauren and Hayden are closer than ever. Nadia and Carson are dating, and by that I mean it's just sex 24/7. Jacob and Carson are literally living at the Orlando's beach house with us but since Carson is always with Nadia, me and Jacob have started hanging out a lot more and have become really close (as friends not as a relationship).

"Guys I'm going to miss the beach so much," Nadia says as she slides the sunglasses to the top of her head.

"I'm not ready to start school," Lauren groans.

"But we got really tanned," I grin.

"By 'we' you mean you and Nadia," Lauren rolls her eyes, "I literally never tan, it's so annoying."

"Kenz, Nadia, Lauren" Hayden calls from far off. Hayden, Carson, Jacob, and Johnny are all playing volleyball. Nadia, Lauren, and I are sitting in the Orlando's private cabana.

"What," I yell as the guys start walking towards us.

"We are getting food, do you guys wanna come?" Carson asks.

"What are you getting," Lauren says.

"The really good place with the burgers on the boardwalk," Johnny replies.

"We're in," Lauren grins, "you guys go, we will meet you there."

The boys go off, we start to get ready and pack up our stuff.

"Guys I swear to god if I get any classes with Annie LeBlanc, I'm literally switching out," Nadia says as we start walking over to the boardwalk.

"Literally same," I agree.

"Why do you guys hate her so much?" Lauren asks.

"You have a horrible memory," Nadia laughs, "remember last year and then 9th grade."

"Uh no," Lauren says confused.

I grin as we walk into the restaurant. Lauren literally forgets everything, she has the worst memory.

We see Hayden waving at us and we walk over to the table.

We sit down and start to look at the menu. The waiter comes to take our order.

"You know what I realized," Lauren said as the waiter leaves, "our group is uneven. Like there's 7 of us total."

"True," Jacob agrees, "we need to add one more person or one of us has to go."

"I vote Kenzie," Johnny jokes.

"I second that," Carson agrees.

"Me too," Lauren grins.

Before anyone else can agree I quickly cut them off.

"Great to see I'm so loved," I say sarcastically, "if anyone should be out it's Johnny."
