“How could you do this?” I whispered, my eyebrows creasing on my forehead.
“No, how could YOU do this Elvis?” Draco said, his face showing disbelief, “How could you be so… foolish?” I closed my eyes tightly, trying to shut away the reality of my nightmare. I was now a betrayer of Hogwarts, helper of the murder of Dumbledore, betrayer of…. Harry. How many people would die today in the fight with Death Eaters? And how many of it would be my fault? All of them.
“I don’t have a choice Elvis,” he laughed bitterly, “neither do you, so come out of your fantasy and wait for the Death Eaters to arrive.
I turned at Snape suddenly, my heart bubbling with anger and hate. “How could you do this??” I said.
“He’s a Death Eater Elvis,” Draco reminded me. I turned to him and brought my hands to my face and buried my face in it. Everything had gone wrong.
Scrambling was heard on the other side of the wall. The Death Eaters had arrived.
First came Amycus, grinning as though he was coming for a tea party, then Alecto, there were other Death Eaters I didn’t know properly… I was not paying attention… I had to contact the Order of Pheonix… Professor McGonagall. A big dirty man caught my attention. Fenrir Greyback.
Fenrir? I turned to look at Draco. Why had he brought Fenrir along? His eyes depicted the same disbelief and fear. He had not invited him. “What are you doing here?” Snape asked. “A question I might ask you. But if I would answer, there are lovely throats to feed on…” he looked at me. I shuddered.
“But really, what ARE you doing here Snape? This was Draco’s mission,” Alex asked. I had to run while I still had time. I had to warn the Order of Phoenix. I caught a glimpse of someone else as I came out. Bellatrix Lestrange.
I grabbed the door handle and disappeared from sight. “Elvis?” I heard Luna’s voice. What was she doing here? Then I ran as fast as possible. I had just a few seconds time before the Death Eaters would realize that I was not there. I went to Professor’s office. “Professor McGonagall!” I burst inside the room, “There are Death Eaters in this school! You need to call the other members of the Order of Phoenix!”
She looked at me from below her spectacles. “What nonsense. Do you even know what you’re speaking about Elvis?”
“You need to believe me on this Professor, please!” I begged. It was useless, I knew. She would never believe me. How would I know? And how could Dumbledore’s protections fail? It was not even closely possible. Unless…..
“You don’t believe me?” I said desperately and slid my robe up to my arm, showing the dark Mark. “Look at this,” I thrust my arm under her line of sight, “My Dark Mark is burning. It only happens when the Dark Lord is near doesn’t it?”
“Oh my,” she looked horrified, “You are a –”
“This is not the time Professor!!” I said, “Warn the Order of Phoenix, quickly-” I heard a bang. “I’ll warn the other teachers,” I said weakly. I ran out of the room, only to be confronted by a big burly Death Eater; I didn’t even know his name. “What were you doing inside?” he snarled. “I petrified Professor,” I lied. I even locked the door to prove it to him.
“Nice move,” he grunted and went away. As soon as he did, I unlocked the door. I heard screams from the Ravenclaw tower. I ran up to it. the burly Death Eater was shouting at the kids, “Scared you didn’t I??” and were stupefying them. “Stupefy!” I screamed. He immediately fell on his face. “Lock the door!” I ordered them. I came down the stairs and saw Gibbon placing the Dark Mark over the astronomy tower. Thorfinn Rowle was sending Killing Curses all over the place. “AVADA KEDAVRA!” he screamed and the spell accidently hit Gibbon on the chest.
