At one point in the train, Winter had gotten so tired of lugging her
trunk around, she sat down on the spot. It did cause quite a scene but Winter couldn’t have cared less. Olivia and Lily stifling their giggles, went on hunting for a compartment. They both soon found an empty compartment at the end of the train and settled down. Some time later, a disgruntled looking Winter came into their compartment, heaving her trunk behind her.

She was so tired from pulling her trunk around that it nearly fell on her twice. Finally, she secured it and joined Olivia and Lily stretching out on her seat and massaging her shoulders. Olivia was laughing hard while Lily was looking at Winter sympathetically while stifling giggles. Winter just looked extremely grumpy and that only made Olivia laugh harder.
“Those people made such a scene! I mean, I only sat on the floor! It’s my first time pulling such a heavy trunk around!” complained Winter.
“No one is used to people sitting on the floor!” said Lily, finally cracking up.
“Yeah! They thought I was going to throw up or something! Why make such an unnecessary fuss!” said Winter, dramatically.
“I think you enjoyed the attention!” said Olivia, smirking.
“Well, I did but it got annoying after a bit!” groaned Winter.
“What took you so much time?” asked Lily.
“It takes time to push your way through a crowd and convince them your alright. One group of girls got so worried, they invited me to their
compartment for a swig of Pumpkin Juice!” said Winter.
“Lucky you! I am starving!” groaned Lily as her stomach rumbled loudly.
“Your not alone, even I’m hungry!” groaned Olivia.
“Me three! I could eat some of those crackers mum packed for us but I’ll wait for the trolley!” groaned Winter. They all stretched out on their seats,
immensely hungry. Finally, the lunch trolley arrived and all the three
switched from grumpy to hungry. Olivia bought some pumpkin pasties,
Chocolate Frogs, a medium-sized packet of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavoured Beans, a big slab of Hogsmeade Chocolate and some pumpkin juice. Winter was about to order a similar order when she realised that she was one galleon short. “You stole my money!” She said, fuming.
“No, I didn't said! You should’ve thought before spending so much in the Weasley's’ Wizarding Wheezes!” said Olivia, sounding amused.
“Did you like the shop? My uncles run it after all! Although, one of them has
almost lost his sense of humour!” asked Lily.
“We loved it! And I'm really sorry about your uncle Fred. We read all about him. We loved him!” said Olivia, kindly. Winter nodded.
“Let’s discuss more happy stuff, shall we? After all, we're going to
Hogwarts!” said Lily, trying to be cheerful. The twins nodded and quit the subject.
“Lily, how much do you know about Hogwarts?” Asked Olivia.
“A lot! Actually, almost everything! What do you want to know about?”
replied Lily.
“Have the teachers changed? Who’s teaching what?” asked Olivia, excitedly.
“Well, Professor Granger is headmistress and teaches transfiguration. Dad, I mean, Harry teaches DADA. Mum, Ginny is like in charge of sports, like Madame Hooch. Draco Malfoy teaches potions, oh and he’s deputy headmaster. Padma Patil teaches charms. Ernie Macmillan teaches arithmancy. Parvati Patil teaches divination. My grandad, Arthur, teaches muggle studies. Dean Thomas is teaching astronomy. And that's pretty much all I know!” said Lily.
“Woah!” said Olivia, making a time out gesture. “You mean to say that half your family are going to be teaching you? And the other half are all your parents’ friends? That's not fair!”
“I promise you, they won't show favouritism!” said Lily, blushing furiously.
“How could we not trust the famous Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley and
the all time best, Hermione Granger! And all those other famous names!”
said Winter, mockingly.
“Stop!” said Lily, punching Winter in the arm, playfully.
“You’re a solid puncher! Have considered going for a career in boxing?” asked Winter, rubbing her arm.
“Good one, Lily! But Draco Malfoy as Deputy Headmaster? Wouldn’t that’ve brought a lot of skepticism and I thought you people were hungry!” said Olivia, while she munched on a Pumpkin Pasty.
“How could I have forgotten? Food!” both of them cried, together and dove into their pile of food. Lily was unwrapping Chocolate Frogs while Winter tried Peppermint Imps. Olivia was surrounded by a mound of wrappers as she was trying a bit of everything. She had tried Chocolate Frogs, Peppermint Imps, Pumpkin Pasties, some of a Honeydukes Chocolate Bar and proceeded to examining some Jelly Slugs. Winter was at the end of her Honeydukes bar and already done with Chocolate Frogs. Lily finally answered, “Of course there was a lot of criticism! A lot of people still don’t trust the Malfoys but Draco was second only to Hermione while they were at school, so it kinda made sense. Also, he’s changed a lot since my dad saved his life and his mom saved my dad’s.” Winter and Olivia nodded.
“Who wants to do a Bertie Bott's Challenge?” Asked Olivia.
“Me!” Called Lily, between mouthfuls of Pumpkin Pasties.
“Me too!!” Called Winter. So they all brought out their packs of Bertie Bott’s every flavour beans and took a deep breath, then they each picked up a bean and stuffed it in their mouth.
“Green apple!” Said Olivia in delight.
“Orange!” Said Lily.
“Pepper,” groaned an unfortunate Winter. “Let’s have another round!” This time Olivia got peppermint, Winter got candyfloss and Lily got booger.
“Yikes! Olivia, I dare you to pick the most disgusting bean you find! You’re the only one who's got two decent flavours!” dared Lily. Olivia picked up a horrible looking dull yellow coloured bean and said disgustedly, “Here goes for nothing!” She put the bean in her mouth and groaned, “Earwax!” Lily and Winter roared with laughter. After a bit, everyone slipped into a lazy silence
and it started getting dark. “We should get changed into our robes. It’s getting quite dark,” said Lily. At that moment the lamps lit up, proving Lily’s point. Olivia nodded and shook Winter awake, “Winn, wake up!”
“Who? What? When? Where?” said Winter, jerking awake. “And what sort of a nickname is Winn?”
“Never mind the nickname Winn! We’ve almost reached so you’ve to go get changed into your robes!” replied Olivia, laughing.
“Alright Ollie!” replied Winter, sarcastically and mumbling darkly she went to change.
“My! That nickname really did irritate her!” laughed Lily. Olivia nodded.
There was an awkward sort of silence between both of them. Then, Olivia
cleared her throat and said,”Let’s pack up a bit, shall we? All this food,” Olivia spread her arms wide. “Shouldn't be wasted.” Lily nodded and both of them packed up each of their delicacies into their trunks. Olivia packed up Winter’s trunk too and said,”Now all that’s left to do is wait! I am so excited!”
Winter chose that moment re-enter the compartment, she was tripping over her robes and evidently bursting with news. “I discovered Jessica and Rose on the train! They've invited us to spend some time with them,” she burst out.
“You met my cousin and who?” asked Lily, looking utterly bemused.
“Jess! Our friend in the muggle world before we found out about her being a witch!” said Olivia, gasping. “Let's hurry and meet them! We'd better take our trunks along too!” So they set off, hauling their trunks behind them and tripping over their robes but nevertheless, reaching the right compartment.
