Olivia
Dinner in the Great Hall didn't feel as good as I thought. I sat with Jess, Rose and two other muggle first years. They were nice but nowhere close to Winter's company. It was just supper and already I was having separation anxiety from her. I would have to try and get to know other girls because these two were getting really boring, all they were doing is fawning over Rose. I get it, she's a Granger-Weasley but this was going overboard. I looked across the table to see a guy with floppy brown hair and blue eyes stare at me. He looked kinda cute. "How is it that you bear them?" he asked me.
I sighed, "I don't even know how I ended up sitting with them!"
The girl sitting next to him with choppy blond hair said, "You wanna come over and sit with us? I feel bad for you."
"Thank you so much! I'll be relieved to escape them!" I said. The girls shot me a look, annoyed by the comment and then continued to harass Rose for autographs and attention.
"So... Hi! I'm Olivia Hall. What are your names?" I asked.
"I'm Brynn Labarbara and he's Cooper Granderson," the girl replied.
"Kind of a personal question but are you purebloods, half-bloods or muggle-borns? I don't care, but I'm just curious," I asked.
Brynn tensed up but Cooper replied, "I'm muggle-born and she's a half."
"I'm muggle-born too," I said and turned to Brynn. "I didn't mean to offend you in any way. I was just curious and I don't care what kind of blood you have. I care about who you are inside."
"It's ok. My mom is the one with magic. She was a Slytherin and faced a lot of criticism for marryin' my dad. I used to be shamed a lot too by her friend circle for being a half-blood. So thank you for saying what you said," said Brynn. I offered Brynn a smile and she beamed back at me. Cooper grinned at us and I thought, "Maybe I wouldn't miss Winn that bad over here." The Prefects called us to go to the dorms. Slytherin was already moving. I would have to catch Winn tomorrow but for today, I enjoyed the company of Brynn and Cooper.
Winter
I could learn to love Slytherin. Aline was definitely one of the reasons, the girl got my jokes and was just as weird as me. I came to Hogwarts hoping for sunshine and happiness but this gothic dorm was seriously underrated. I don't know why no one gave Slytherin's credit, they had transformed a dungeon into a gothic-themed dorm with a luxuriously furnished common room and beds I would compare to those in five star hotels. The bathrooms were as good as I'd imagined the Prefect's ones to be. And the best thing, Aline and I ended up getting assigned beds next to each other's. I found my trunk waiting, overflowing with stuff and pounced on my bed. I just laid there, flat on my stomach for sometime. Then I got up and slowly sorted through my mess. The only con of the dorm was that I wasn't the biggest fan of four poster beds and the lighting was incredibly low to study in.
(a/n: Slytherin dorm below. That's Aline and Winter's beds)
