i always thought that the best place to be
was at the edge of the river
where your feet are half way in the water
and half way on the soil
it is the best feeling.
the rush you get,
the anticipation of letting yourself be submerged;
the thrill
the goosebumps up your skin
they tell you of both the temperature
and what it is to come;
the excitement
i always stay at a stock still position
savoring the feeling and torturing myself
never going in without being teased first
a masochist at it's best, is what i say
so i am not surprised when i can not move
not an inch, can't pull away
not a breath, in fear of you fadding away
just still, not wanting to miss anything
i am flabbergsated by what i have encountered
because i always thought that i would find that bliss in feeling
not in sight
but what a view do i have, and what a feeling have they brought
what a beautiful feeling have they brought indeed
my soil and water
my perfect coffe and clear skies
my tree and rain fall
i can not look away
hence the hesitance in my steps
but i do not regret being a temporary statue
if it meant that i could keep admiring this masterpiece infront of me...
