chapter 12 : expedition

Its the day of  the expedition. Ive been on many expeditions before this but something is bothering me saying this will be my last. I ignored the feeling thinking itss fear. But the though lingers in my head making it impoasible for me to concentrate on the expedition. Right now , everyone is standing infront of the door waiting for it to open for us to start our expedition.

Loses of life are definite . Its our job to take of ours. A small mistake ruins everything. Last night we had a meeting and everyone was separated into groups lucky me i had Mikasa , Eren and Armin in my squad. Levi kept glancing at me aince yesterday being a stubborn ass i am i ignored his stare aa if it ment nothing. It does hurt to ignore but what can i do ?

Finally the time has come and the gate opens. Everyone raced outside of the gates as if its our last. But who knows it might be.

As discussed i took my squad to the east where most titans are . The aim of today is to kill as many and meet up at the centre by sundown alive. As i said dont know how many will be victims.

We rode our horses until we came upon a small village . " heres our stop . Lets go on foot " i said getting down from my horse followed by the others .

As soon as my foot steppes the ground the smell of blood flooded into my nose. Meaning a new victim has been devoured. Painful memories of my past played in my mind . I want to kill all of them . Every single one of them . I wpnt rest untill every single titan are death. And i will do it before i die. My death is certain when i kill everyone.

Suddenly a man ran towards us in panic. " RUN ! THEIR EVERYWHERE ! RUN IF YOU WANT TO LIVE !  RUN FOR YOUR LIVES !!! " he yelled at us and pushed pass us and ran  far away but all of sudden a gigantic foot stepped in front of him. All of ours eyes grew big seeing the big 12 metre titan. It took him in his hand with him pleading it to let him go. It opened it mouth and droped the man in it. The horrow made us all panic for a moment no one could move all we did was stare.

After swallowing the man its head slowly turned towards us. It smiled . Urg.. i hate that smile. Makes me want to kill him even more. It sat on its knees down and extended its hand towards us to  take one of us . Instinct quickly kicked into us as  we managed to move away. The next you know all of us were flying in the air with our gears with it looking at us.

" were too slow ! " a cadet said. Looking behind at the titan which started to chase us.

" remember the trainning . We dont want any life to be wasted. Lets break up ! Eren , Mikasa and Armin your with me . The others follow Martin . Meet back at the end of the city in an hour . Find for lives. Dont get yourself killed " i said taking off with eren , mikasa and armin at my tail.

All three of us flew tree to tree finding for survivors but ended up finding more victims . Its sickening but its true . Once we realise we were save distance away from the titan . We rested on the tree.

" i want to kill them. " Eren whispered

" how ? By getting yourself killed ? " i asked walking up to him.

" they destroyed my life " he growled at me .

" not only yours mine too Eren. Dont waste your life by playing bait.  We take down those monsters together " i said

" im not playing bait. What did you went through with the titans saying they destroyed your life ? For what i know every titan that pass we didnt kill! Not even one ! You make us feel like cowards ! You avoid all titans to prevent yourself from getting kill not us ! You're just selfish . I should have realised it sooner  " he shouted at me

" Eren, youre just blinded by revenge. Stop saying nonsense and calm down. These beast bring bad memories i know that but that doesnt mean you should take action towards them without thinking . Its call a stupid sacrifice if you do that . Think first ! Take my hand and lets have a seat you need to relax . You've been through a lot " i said extending my hands towards him for him to take it .

He stared at my hand and slapped it away . Our eyes went big when he did that.

" if youre not going to kill then let me " he said and took off .

" EREN STOP! WE DONT HAVE MUCH GAS LEFT ! " Armin shouted.

I growled and went after him.

I chased him for a long time with him killing titans in front of him clearing his path. I was impresses by his ability cause he improved a lot compared to last time.

He stopped on a tree when titans started to surround him. As i predicted. His gas is finished. I can see his eyes filled with fury as he started to attack the titans one by one.

A titan crept behind him without his knowledge

Without thinking i went after it

" EREN MOVE ! " I Shouted pushing him. The next thing i knew everything went black .
