Zhao Yunlan wondered; had he been cursed? why did he had to endure that two brothers in his apartment while he was in a bad shape? He couldn't even say any words when those two interrogating him regarding his new wound.

"I'm fine..just need some sleep." He answered weakly. It's really what he needed right now, he felt his consciousness slipping away from him.

Shen Wei acted quickly; he carried Zhao Yunlan bridal styled to the only bed in the room ( followed by a menacing look from Ye Zun), took off his shoes and tucked him inside the blanket.

"Ye Zun, you stay with him. I'll make him some medicine." Shen Wei ordered his brother, who miraculously complied without further defense.

Ye Zun look at Zhao Yunlan and sighed. He didn't remember ever cared about someone like he cared about the boy in front of him.

He took Zhao Yunlan's hands, wanted to share some of his pain, when suddenly felt a rush of energy flowed from Zhao Yunlan into him.

It was soothing, energizing, it was intimate, everything he could ask for from someone.

But somehow he knew, it was Zhao Yunlan's energy he was draining, and he had to stop.

Zhao Yunlan frowned in his slumber, his hand tried to broke away from Ye Zun's grasp, and Ye Zun finally could wake up from the nightmare.

"Zhao Yunlan, i'm sorry...sorry..." He whispered softly, wondered what did he just do to the boy.

Often in his dream Ye Zun found himself inside a nightmare where he hurt everyone he cared about, but he ignored it.

Was it his brother? was it Zhao Yunlan? was it someone else? he tried to remember but something blocked his memory.

"Ye Zun, you've been hurt many times in the past, i understand it. Don't hurt anyone anymore, be a good boy and spread the heart of virtue, and maybe,just maybe, we will see each other again."

Someone spoke to him softly, like a breeze of the wind, his light green gown was blown by the wind. He possessed an immense beauty, his smile was captivating, the touch of his hands could soothe his aching heart.

Ye Zun knew, he realized that the person wasn't just any person. He was a mighty god, and certainly out of his reach.

But one can't control who the heart would choose...

I've hurt you..i've hurt you and him, i did an unforgivable crime..

But the person in his dream laughed softly at him, he looked at Ye Zun with the gentlest gaze he ever encounter.

You've done well, Ye Zun..let's see if you are forgiven.

Ye Zun would wake up trembling, afraid to lose that person again. The person who changed his heart and soul, purified him from the evil force in him and sacrificed his own soul to get Ye Zun into the reincarnation cycle.

He wanted to scream, to wail in desperation;

My Lord, please take back this heart of mine, please come back, i'm lost without you...

Ye Zun woke up from the light pat on his shoulder. He didn't know that he fell asleep beside Zhao Yunlan, and now he woke up in confusion.

Shen Wei signalled him to move away so he could sit on the chair to give Zhao Yunlan his medicine.
