The Other End of The Rainbow

Perun waited agitatedly for what it seemed to be eternity inside the cave, his whole body was shaking with anticipation.

What if Veles wins? what to do with Kunlun?If Veles wins, it means Shen Wei was defeated and most probably died from the deadly battle.

Kunlun won't survive the whole ordeal, afterall Shen Wei had already become a part of his life for more than ten thousand years.

Perun couldn't imagine what the fight would impact the whole world if Veles wins the battle. The eastern part of the world will be in a mess without their sovereign, and it all thanks to Veles's selfishness.

The nightmare rewinds itself in his mind when he heard a ruckus on the entrance of the cave, and as soon as possible he resumed his battle position, blocking Kunlun from anyone's sight. He will give his everything to protect his dear friend.

"Zhao Yunlan! Zhao Yunlan, where are you?"

A crack voice was shouted, trying to locate them. It was filled with desperation, it was filled with longing.

"Shen Wei, here! Zhao Yunlan is here!"

Perun shout back, he was confused; is it over? are they winning? what was happening? did he miss anything?

Then he saw a glimpse of a person not so far away. Since it was dark inside, he couldn't figure out the state Shen Wei was in.

Only when he came closer that he could see the former ghost king.

There was no part of his body spared from slashing wound, his clothes was tattered and if there was a little bit lighting inside the cave, one could see blood dripping from every tear of his clothing.

Shen Wei staggered, he fought just to walk straight to walk closer to where Kunlun was.

"Zhao Yunlan...this is me, we finally beat him..Zhao Yunlan, open your eyes..."

Shen Wei leaned heavily on his blood soaked dagger, his hands extended trying to reach his beloved.

Kunlun opened his eyes slowly, and smiled gently at Shen Wei. He couldn't move, his body was immobilized and Veles was nowhere to undo the spell. But he didn't want to complain, just to be here with Shen Wei was enough for him.

"Shen..Wei....You're here.."

Shen Wei couldn't hold back his tears, he leapt with his remaining power to be by Zhao Yunlan's side.

"A Lan ah, i'm here, i'm here, i'm sorry..sorry to left you alone..A Lan ah...i'll get you out of here, alright?"

With his wounded arms, he tried to lift Kunlun's body into his embrace.

"Shen Wei, you're wounded, let me carry him instead."

Perun tried to take over Kunlun from Shen Wei, but the wounded man infront of him stared at him fiercely, refusing any help.

"Stay away from my Ah Lan. He must be tired, he doesn't like to be caged in a small compartment. I'll take him out now."

Although Shen Wei had lost many blood and his strength was seeping out of him, but his voice was stern and clear.

Zhao Yunlan smiled, he looked at his Shen Wei and recollect what had happened before Shen Wei fetched him.

Through his third eyes, he could see everything outside the cave.

He could see how the dragon and Shen Wei collaborated to defeat Veles, how the dragon protected Shen Wei from Veles's attack with his thick skin, and how they finally subdue Veles and hit him with final attack which finally end the battle.
