Inside the (not so roomy) apartment, Zhao Yunlan snorted and cursed long and low, he was lost from Shen Wei to be the one who first reach the apartment.

He had to cook for them, how inconvenient was that? Shen Wei just shook his head and shrugged at him when Zhao Yunlan asked him what he wanted to eat.

"I'll eat anything you make." Shen Wei's eyes filled with stars that floats inside, twinkling beautifully with smile on his lips.

Zhao Yunlan cursed once again. The man certainly wanted to test his patience. When he searched his apartment high and low, there was no trace of any instant noodle. Instead he found fresh ingredient inside his refrigerator, complimentary from Taizi Ye's refrigerator back home.

"I can't cook, Shen Wei...why don't we eat outside? my treat..." He tried to plead.

Shen Wei giggled, covered his mouth with his hand politely.

"You made the bet yourself, A Lan. What about this, we make the food together? Should be easier for us now and healthier for your stomach."

Shen Wei proceed to pick all the ingredients from the fridge and put them in front of Zhao Yunlan.

Their hands brushed, and for an instant Shen Wei felt a spark of electric current running through his whole being.

It was like a dream. Him being here with his beloved, memories flooded his heart from a thousand years of journey.

He used to follow Kunlunjun all the way he went, walking, talking, laughing, or just spending time alone with nothing to do.

Kunlun's natural gentleness brought his soul at peace, just like a gentle breeze of wind caressing his face on the height of the mountain.

At that time, he was just a young Ghost Lord who decided to abandon his kin just to follow Kunlun.

He was fallen head over heels by the gentle God's appearance, his laid back personality despite his magnanimous powers, and his selflessness through their thick and thins.

Kunlun never spoke about his sacrifice 10.000 years ago to save Shen Wei, and he left Shen Wei with just a promise that they will meet again.

A lot, billion, zillion things happened afterwards but it was nothing for Shen Wei, all are nothing compared to his meeting with his one and only Kunlun.

He remembered his promise to Shen Nong when he begged that ancient God to let Kunlun follow the cycle of reincarnation.

"Never to cross path with him, never to interfere with his life and death, never touch, never call his name, be invisible, and guard the barrier of Hell to the end of time."

Shen Wei accept that promise as an honor, as the only remainder of his beloved Kunlun.

So he followed him all through his life time. Shen Wei had seen him suffering and dying, crying and struggling, and only watched from a far like someone watching a soap opera.

If this time i could hold you, even only for this life time, would that make me a selfish demon? wasn't it enough to make me wait for you in this 10.000 years?

Shen Wei's gaze fell on the young boy beside him, who looked at him as if he didn't know what to do. His innocent eyes flickered with naughty light, added to his attractiveness.

Zhao Yunlan felt his heart racing when Shen Wei shifted behind him and whispered to his ears.

"Do you need me to teach you how to crush a garlic?"

His low and gentle voice rang in Zhao Yunlan's ear and he felt all the bones in his body dissolved into liquid.

Shen Wei held both his hands and moved them, gently, until their fingers interlaced.
