The House on The Hill

The night fell so fast in the city streets, before they knew it was already dark and the street lamps were lit. The mist of an early winter season covered the air, it was hazy and created a mystified scenery everywhere.

Ye Zun was on his luxurious car, as it drove gracefully on the way home his mind wandered around.

He was thinking about what happened earlier, how he almost dissapeared from the face of the earth, how Kunlun took him back from nothingness, and about the love he had for the mountain god.

Silence befalls him, he was weighing whether he should let Zhao Yunlan be happy with his brother or try to make Zhao Yunlan love him again.

The memories were still lingering, the memories of their brief romance and innocent touches. But it was numbing now, it felt like a distant memory and he felt like he was looking at somebody else's tragic love story.

Until he saw that face. That small plump face with unkempt hair and a rounded glasses who was scolding him today. And Ye Zun's smile blossomed on his chiseled face, he shook his head in disbelief.

How could a teacher be so ignorant of his student? he could've let Ye Zun know what his name is, at least it would save him sometimes to search on the employment list on his data.

His name was Bo Li. Such a strange name and it's not suited for a man like him.

Ye Zun sighed. Why did he had to encounter a teacher like that? such an enigmatic guy, he was. A man with no background. He just suddenly appeared some months ago as a biology teacher in his private high school. A man without any past, Ye Zun was very interested in him.

"Zhu Jiu...find out everything you can dig out from that professor. Don't let him slip away from you. Please come back soon, i'll be waiting."

Ye Zun spoke softly, and the air swifted around him, a sign that Zhu Jiu had carry on his job.

Suddenly the bracelet on his wrist glowed warmly, he snickered and laughed.

"Ah Lan, are you missing me? i'll go to you soon. Wait for me."

Everyone around them would wonder about the true nature of Shen Wei, Ye Zun, and Zhao Yunlan's relationship. Anyone could guess the kind of relationship does Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan had, but Ye Zun? who was he? Was he just a pathetic third wheeler?

Ye Zun never cared about what other people thinks. Third wheeler or not, that didn't bother him. He had lived long enough to know the bitterness of being utterly alone, and he was glad that Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei never chase him away even after what he did.

"I'll stop by the SIU, drop me there."

He spoke through the intercom.

Zhao Yunlan didn't seem to be in the right mood all day long, and it was worsening after he got a news from Shen Wei that he will come back late and he asked Zhao Yunlan to come home with Ye Zun.

Everyone in the office was terrified, they avoid any contact with the chief if possible. Even to go back home was impossible; the chief deliberately close any way out from the office because, "The employees are always one step behind the employers". Everyone slumped to their respective places hearing that, and decided to blame boss's husband for this.

"Yunlan, when are you planning to go home?"

A soft and deep voice was heard, and Yunlan turned to the source of the voice. He was laying on the couch lazily, like a caterpillar going on their metamorphosis.
