A town named Winter

I stretch up to the ceiling of the dingy motel room. That was the second longest plane ride I've taken. Our honeymoon in Italy would take the cake as our longest trip. I observe Adam after I finish stretching out my cramped limbs. The man that I married still manages to make me feel giddy like a school girl. I had always focused on school and then work instead of any kind of love life. Sure, I've dated before, but nothing serious. He came into my life like a tornado and shook everything up. Him and those dimples in his sun kissed cheeks drive me crazy. I first noticed him at the court house. He was just another uniform walking the halls. Well, that was until we locked eyes. His eyes were intense and the color of a Granny Smith apple. I just wanted a bite.

As he finished up putting away our things, I walk over and put my hand on his shoulder. He turns around and looks at me and smiles. This makes me weak in the knees a bit. I bring myself closer and lock my arms around his back while playing with the back of his sandy blond hair. I lean up and kiss him lightly on his perfect lips.

"Are you nervous about this trip?" I ask him.

"No. I just know it'll be cold as balls." I laugh a bit after hearing him say this.

"Well, thanks for doing this with me. I love Halloween, and I've never done a hiking trip like this. I didn't even know anyone did haunted camping. I've heard of ghost tours and such, but this is pretty cool."

"You're welcome babe. It'll be an adventure for sure. I know all the boys back at work were jealous. Looking back, I'm not sure if they were jealous of the trip, or the company."

I blush slightly. He seems to always know what to say to make me swoon.
