Around 7:20 p.m.

As I said goodbye to Stella and we started walking separate ways, I realized after this long day I get to go jump in the shower for a long shower and then go to sleep. I was definitely not going to walk home. I needed to find the nearest bus stop. It was pretty dark out, there were no lights. So when I thought I really needed it, I used my phone flashlight in the dark.

I finally found a bus station able to take me to my apartment when, I get a text from Strawberry.

Strawberry: Hey, where are you? I thought you get off around seven. Shouldn't you be home right now? Is everything alright?

Me: Hey babe, I'm alright, just got stuck talking to another employee, I really like her, and she's giving me a better job than a waitress, and a better paycheck! I'll see you soon, thanks for caring I love you.

Strawberry: Alright as long as your safe. I love you too

I was smiling by the time I looked up from my phone. I was so glad she cared that much. Usually, she just sends her whereabouts, and when she's really drunk she'll send long ass paragraphs saying how much she loves me, and why I'm her best friend. I personally believe those ones are hilarious but when she wakes up in the mornings to see the other types of messages she sends when drunk, she hates herself and says, and I quote, "I am never drinking again." And then drinks the same night.

She is one hell of a reckless girl and this is why I love her so much. We're polar opposites. And opposites do attract. By the time I stopped zoning out, there was a man. Sitting on the bench with me. He had all black on, just sitting there staring at me. I kind of just turned around. Trying not to show him I was uncomfortable. After a few awkward minutes, he speaks up,

"You missed the bus while texting." And I thought the man couldn't get any creepier. He's been sitting there staring at me for who knows how long. And to make matters worse it seems he has moved closer to me.

I start to back away. But then another shady as fuck man comes and pushes me into the other man. The other man was now standing up. I quickly dropped my phone in my bag and threw my bag across the sidewalk. Not enough for anyone to steal it, but for it to be out of the way. Then I got ready.

Did I mention I took several self-defense classes, and I've been working out recently? No? Well, I have. And I was very ready to take these two men on. As they noticed I was in a fighting position, they started to laugh. Their laughs were booming. And not a nice welcoming kind. A fucking crazy kind. A kind ready to kill me with their guns any second.

I noticed the guns right away. I didn't think they knew I noticed, but I did. That's why I chose my next few words carefully. "Now, if you want to walk away without a drop of blood, and still want the possibility to have children, I suggest you walk away." The men did that scary booming laugh again. This time looking at each other, with a smirk. And hell was it a scary smirk. But they didn't leave me alone.

So, scanning the two men, I found the more muscular one and went at him first. I kicked him as hard as I could in his "area" and he grunted over onto his side in pain. I started to kick him in the back and stomach. As soon as I noticed he wouldn't be getting up anytime soon, I went to go after the other one. What I saw surprised me. Like a lot.

The other man was on the floor. With a gun in his hand, and I finally noticed, he had shot me. In my lower back. And I hadn't even known. Then I looked up. And saw a man. Not just any man. But the mystery man. Once again. He had some blood on his fists, I'm guessing from helping me, and knocking this guy out. I finally lost the adrenaline rush coursing through my veins, and looked to the ground. To my surprise I had lost, a lot of blood. Before I could say thank you, I started to feel light headed. Dizzy. Everything around me started to spin. Before I knew it, I was already starting to pass out. Then once again, I felt two strong arms stop me from falling. But this time, he had lifted me into his arms.

One hand behind my back, and the other under my knees. I put my head on his shoulder as the pain increased and I lost more blood. Then everything went black.

By the time I woke up, I was hooked to a machine in a room. I looked around and saw Strawberry. She pulled a chair, right next to me, and was sleeping right there. I was in the hospital. My boss had brought me and my bag to the Hospital. I was very thankful. I was going to tell him once I'm out of here. Then a doctor and the police came in. I'm guessing to question me.

"Hello Ma'am. How are you feeling?" Said the doctor. "Better than last night for sure," I replied trying to hide the fact it actually still hurt so bad. Then the doctor did a check up on my wound which looked nasty, but it was stitched up. Then he did a few basic things, and left, giving the officer a look like he was saying, alright you can ask her questions now. So he did. By then Strawberry was awake. She frantically threw her arms around me, then sat back down so the officer could talk.

"Ma'am, do you remember what happened?"

"Yes, I was walking to a bus stop when a man was also there. He'd just been staring at me. Long story short him and another man came at me, and I chose the more muscular man because once he was down I could easily take the small man down." They both looked at me surprised on how I figured that out. Especially Strawberry. I continued,

"I kicked him where the sun doesn't shine, and once he was down, I kicked the crap out of him, once I saw no sign of him getting up, I turned around to hurt the other man, and then I saw he had a gun in his hand, but he was on the floor unconscious."

I had thought about telling them about my boss. But I realized that it wasn't a normal situation and to have a punch like that, well he was different. Something was off and I'd figure out what it was. So I didn't mention my boss. I figured it was a small part of appreciation for what he did for me. Just in case he didn't need the feds up in his business.

"Did you see the person who helped you?"

"No sir, just some man, and I'm guessing he carried me here. I have no idea who he was." I lied right through my teeth. I was pretty good at it actually. Been doing it since I was eleven. Hehe. I laughed to myself as I thought about what I just said. Strawberry and the officer looked at me like I was crazy. I just replied "Sorry thought of something funny." That wasn't necessarily a lie. Once the man left it was just me and Straw. She asked a million questions. "Was the guy hot? Did he have a good build, did he effortlessly lift you up?"

"Yes he was, yeah, and I'm pretty sure he did, but I don't know who he is, and I love Alex, once again." She sighed. She's always hated Alex. Especially knowing his history and stuff. I know she wants what's best for me. But it's him. He's my world. I love him. So I told Straw to leave and get some rest. She said I should get some too. About five minutes after everyone was gone, I was about to fall asleep when someone came bursting through the door. I don't know how no one heard it. But it scared the shit out of me. The man approached me. I didn't know what to do at first. So I said hello.

"Hello?"

"Hello, Valentina."

So I like leaving things on cliffhangers because why not? I know my story seems boring right now, but it's barely getting started, you just have to wait to see what's in store. It won't be as crazy good like other stories but for my first one, I'm hoping it'll be good in the end, also the picture of Brendon Urie was just random. I love the man a lot and thought why not put a picture of him in this?
