Val's POV

I wake up before Luca does. As I lay there looking at him, I notice how calm and peaceful he looks. A small smile still lingering on his lips. I lightly kiss his lips and turn to get up. I was quickly stopped and pulled back under his arm.

"Luca," I say laughing. "I have to pee." He lets out a small laugh. He kisses me back on my lips, a little rougher then I did but not much. Then he lets me go. Once I finally use the bathroom I lay back in bed. He gets up and gets into the bath. Which was really weird because he's only ever taken showers. I decide, now was the time to ask him what was up. When I walked into the bathroom boy was I surprised. I bet I probably look like the emoji where my eyes are hearts because what I just saw was definitely worth coming in without knocking.

I stay there smiling at him, and once he finally was in the bath once more, he notices me. "Wanna join?" He asks, teasing me. "Oh, I'd love to," I say back. His eyes open a little. Probably surprised that was my answer. I get undressed and get in with him. Boy, this was really relaxing, I lay my head on his chest.

"Luca?" I mumble, really hating to ruin this perfect moment. "Hmm?" He hums. I look up at him and his eyes are closed. He looks so relaxed. "I'm sorry to ruin this, but are you okay?" I say, he still doesn't open his eyes. "Yeah, why?" I sigh. This makes him open his eyes and look down at me.

"Last night, I could tell there was something wrong. You seemed out of it after the whole bed incident." He chuckles lightly. Probably remembering that. But then he looks at me.

"I might as well just tell you." He confesses. My curiosity was piqued.

"Tomorrow I'm going to Russia with Luigi, Chris, and Emma. Maybe another man, I don't know yet. I need to kill every last member in the Russian mafia. They've proven they aren't going to stop coming after us." I was sitting up now. My silence told him to continue.

"I'm just upset because I don't want to leave you. What if they get word that I'm coming and they hurt you. But I also don't want to take you because you could get hurt and maybe worse. I don't want the babies or your life at risk like that." He says, finishing with a sigh. "I love you. I don't want to harm you but either way, I see you getting hurt and I'm pissed."

I smile at him. I love how much he cares. "Why are you smiling? This is serious." He says breaking me out of my trance. "I just love you that's all." He smiles at me. But I start to think about Russia now. "What if I stay with Anna and Stefano?" He sighs.

"I made them take Matteo and go to a different country again. I don't want to risk it. I don't want to put you on a plane and make you go somewhere by yourself." He says. Which gets me thinking. "What are you thinking about?" He says. "I know that face." I laugh. I love how he notices that. "What about Stella. What if me, Stel, Vi, and Roberto go to the states. We could stay with my Nonna and Nonno." I say. He looks at me. He smiles and nods. "I love how smart you." I blush. Hehe whoops.

"Now come back." He says, motioning me to lay my head back down on his chest. I do so, and get comfortable. "Is this why you're in the bath?" I ask. "Yeah. I needed to think and relax. Warm water and soap do that for me. But turns out all I needed to do was talk to you." He smiles.

"Exactly," I say, making him laugh a little. We lay there for another thirty minutes. Once he's out, he has to drag me out. One I was way too comfortable, but two, I literally couldn't get up because of the babies. God, I was so helpless sometimes. I laugh while he was pulling me out. But I also was grateful for how strong he was. He could carry me and I was sixth months pregnant with TWO babies inside of me.

I get dressed after he does, and while he goes to his office, I go to the bed and get my phone.

Me: Hey girlies. I need to talk to you guys about something important. Come over asap so you have time to get ready after.
