"Jealous means: Just Because I Love You So Much."

“Sandra?”

“Yeah?”

“Are you okay?”

“Yes, why do you ask?”

“Because you’ve been stabbing your food for the past five minutes,” Anton explained, sincerely amused. “Should I stop you or should I leave to give you some privacy?”

Confused at what the heck he was talking about, I looked down.

It was a terrible massacre.

The hash browns were a blobby pile of mush. The toast looked like it had been sawed in half by a crazy person. And the eggs had several puncture wounds, each of which oozed thick, hot, sticky yellow goo that got everywhere.

What had started out as a healthy breakfast, had turned into a cholesterol-induced puddle.

Today’s just not my day, is it? I thought grumpily. As if subconsciously mutilating food wasn’t bad enough. Pushing my plate away, I began to clean up my mess.

“Here,” Anton, being the gentleman he was, handed me a napkin, before crossing his arms and gently smiling at me. “Do you want to talk about it?”

“It’s complicated,” I said.

He tilted his head. “Are you sure?”

“Not really.”

“So, is that a yes?” he asked.

The sincere tone of his voice was so genuine, it actually surprised me. I looked up from my plate to his face and saw that, deep down, it seemed like he really cared. So sweet, he patiently waited for my answer.

“If you don’t mind,” I said bashfully.

“Not at all, Sandra,” Anton grinned.

A small blush crept across my face. Not because I was crushing on him or anything; but, because it was embarrassing. I never really opened up to anyone else aside from Lukas. The fact that Anton was taking an interest in me, aside from my Quidditch skills and botanical match-up-i-ness, was refreshing.

A nice change of pace.

With that being said, I told him about the misadventures of my life.

I told him about how I woke up this morning to find that my room had been turned into a dung-bomb minefield, and how, on the wall above my headboard, the words “With love, Draco Malfoy,” were written in scary red paint.

Which was just darling, by the way.

Not.

It made me want to kick Malfoy’s shins. While I may like that idiot, it didn't change the fact that I would be tempted to kill  the annoying git if he pushed me to it.

And if remodeling my bedroom wasn't enough, there was also the Parkinson incident. What was the Parkinson incident? Well, basically, Pansy somehow came to the conclusion that I was seducing her hubby behind her back (which I wasn't); but, she decided that the best way to talk to express her feeling and talk to me about this was to approach me, slap me, and then call me a provocative leech for moving in on her boyfriend.
