About a week had passed since my play date with Draco and I still felt hyped up from it. The rush was still there, and getting stronger as I headed towards King’s Cross. The beating of my heart actually became exhilarating and refreshing. I couldn’t wait to see Malfoy again.
After my I dared him to make me shut up, Draco moved to kiss me – which he later explained was a joke to scare me, considering what a big chicken I was, but Margaret showed up. She said she heard someone spazzing (namely Draco) and thought to check it out. She didn’t even need explanation.
She knew he’d been picking on me again and beat him senseless with a rubber bat she just oh-so happened to bring along with her.
…Okay, to be honest, I thought it was pretty funny watching Margaret beat Draco with it. I still felt smiley when I think back to the moment. And even though I didn’t want to admit it, I was actually secretly hoping that Margaret would’ve come late; or not at all. I mean…I really did like Draco, even if he was all those things I said about his personality: frilly and un-manly-ish.
But I knew Draco probably did do that to scare me. He’s too thick-headed and arrogant to notice anyone else’s feelings for him. Which sucked. And was relieving at the same time. I wanted him to know; but I didn’t want to deal with Pansy’s soap opera and bitching if he did dump her for me. (Ha! Never gonna happen).
But anyway, it was the day back to Hogwarts. A mixed feeling between happy and scared. And unsettlement. I mean, who wouldn’t?
Here I was, walking towards my doom while my family waved goodbye on the platform, like I was going to be fine alone. Margaret dashed up to the window of my compartment – which was empty at the moment – and handed me her rubber bat.
“Here,” she said. “It’s for protection. And don’t even hesitate to use it. All the teachers know what a jerk he is so they probably wouldn’t mind if you smack him a couple times and beat him senseless.”
I chuckled, giving her a half-hug through the window. “Thanks, Marge. I’ll keep it.”
I didn’t really know if it would be of any use. Making fun of Draco while Marge was there was one thing; but it was another if my elder sibling was absent and Pansy’s crew was present as Draco’s backup.
You know, it’s times like these when I lean back in my seat and look to the roof, thinking to myself, well, I’m screwed.

The compartment was still empty. Normally, my best friend Lukas would be around, but then I remembered he got a girlfriend from Ravenclaw last year and I excused him from our train ride together.
I sighed. I’m SO lonely. I wish someone would come already.
Speak of the devil, the door flew open.
In came Draco with Crabbe, Goyle and Pansy looming right before him.
Of course it would be them. I cursed karma.
Draco smirked, crossing his arms and looked at me amused. He was a LOT more confident with his posy around. “Well, well, well,” he drawled in his oh-so-sexy voice. “Look at what we have here.”
Pansy sniffed the air. “I smell a mutt.”
                              “Maybe it’s you.”
Crabbe and Goyle stifled a laugh from behind but shut up once Pansy shot them a glare. They were secretly nice to me and shared my same hatred for the pug-faced girl. She leaned in further in the doorway and scowled at me. “Say that again, you little witch?”
