Telly's P.O.V.

--------------------------------------------------

I was woken up by my maids early that day. Not my alarm. Not Logan's extreme internal heat. Not even his lips. I groaned as faint sunlight hit my face and the high pitched nasily voice of Alice filled my ears.

" Wake up Miss Telly. Today is a big day!" She chirped. I rubbed my eyes and stretched. Alice pulled me by my hands out of my bed. She started jumping up and down with excitement. Her wild red ringlets bounced.

" Why is it so important that people see me eat. I'm just like them." Mallory and Amy joined Alice and they helped undress me. I was thrown into a bubble bath and sat there as they scrubbed my skin with all kinds of exfoliants and god knows what. I stayed silent and let my mind wander back to Seattle. I longed to see my friends. Jen and Bryn. Topher and Remie. And even Jared. Tears bit the back of my eyes and I bit my lip not letting them spill over.

He wasn't worth crying over. How much he lied was disgusting. I wouldn't mourn over him. I wasn't losing anything. I would mourn over the one person who I really lost. I promised myself he would see me soon.

The busy women finished getting my skin extremely soft and they were on to moisturizing. I found myself in layer after layer. Tall socks slid easily up my slim legs and a corset was laced holding me in. It wasn't like I needed it anyway. For some reason this reminded me of The Duchess. A floor length off the shoulder gold dress was adorned onto me and to be honest I really liked it. The swirly patterns were on point. My maids stopped giggling as they curled ny hair being careful with the hot tools.

A knock sounded at the door and I instinctively stood to get it. Amy grabbed my wrist and gently pushed me down in a seat. I tried crossing my legs under the heavy material. I failed and rested ny hands in my lap. Amy babysitted me as Mallory scurried to open it. I couldn't see or hear the conversation going on. Mallory looked back and locked eyes with Alice and Amy with a little shoulder drop. They left the room silently. Emmett showed up in my doorway and I stood up promptly. A wave of nervousness crashed inside of me. His grey eyes lit up and he walked toward me.

"You look beautiful Chantel." He complemented. His crown rested on top if his dark brown hair. He wore a suit.

" Thanks Emmett. May I ask why its such a big deal people see me eat. I'm no different then them." I reasoned. He engulfed me in hug.

" Stop being stubborn and adore our subjects." He argued. I stayed silent and let him lead me to our destination. I wasn't sure how much of a surprise it would be to people if you can hear my heels against the shiny marble floors. We entered into a huge room full of high officials. I sat across from Emmett at a table that stretched far. The backs of the thrones were high. A glass of red wine was placed in front of me. I started digging into the food that was sitting in front of me. The food was sooooooo goooood. Best breakfast ever. I scanned the table. I couldn't be met with a friendly face other than Emmett's. I tried not to worry and finish my food. After about an hour of random talk with a few ladies I went back to my hall.

My hands met cold metal and I pushed both doors open to his room. " How dare you leave me alone by myself for breakfast?" My voice came out angry. Logan sat on his bed writing. I stalked over to him. He didn't look up at me.

" I wasn't hungry." His hand wrapped around the pen and it glided on the page swiftly. I walked further and stood in front of him.

" I'm gonna need a better excuse then that. If you're gonna lie at least make it convincing. Your attempt was pathetic." My arms folded over my chest and he stopped writing. His eyes finally met mine. We had a staring competition for a while.
