Chapter One ~ Stuck In This Engagement

Just the othr day JaeHyuk was playing around and talking about our wedding. In that moment, of course I was shocked, i thought it was a bit too fast, I thought I wasn't at the right age, or even ready. I hid myself in a way and didn't dare to say anything about it. He smiles at me and hugs me, telling me "It was only for fun" but now it made me realize that it's about time that we marry, it's been about two and a half years since we've dated, and I've known him as a friend for even longer. Four years. It was time to trust him with my life and marry him, right? I thought so too. The thing is that since he was joking about it the other day, is he really ready to marry me? That's the real question.

JaeHyuk: Surprise!

Me: Miss me?

JaeHyuk: of course my love

Me: JaeHyuk, I love you

JaeHyuk: love you too (YourName)

He leans to kiss me. I kiss him back as his hands are around my waist. He pulls back and takes my hands. He starts walking and tells me to be quiet because he had a surprise for me. How sweet. As we got closer and closer, I closed my eyes as he told me to.

JaeHyuk: on a count of three open your eyes! One.... two.... three!

I opened my eyes to see myself in a new house filled with pictures of us. My hearted beated faster and faster, I turned to face JaeHyuk and he gave me a smile and winks. I looked around more and suddenly JaeHyuk spoke. I turned and saw him on the foor kneeling. I was speechless. Maybe he wasn't really joking afterall about marrying me.

JaeHyuk: (YourName).. i love... no.. (YourName), you're my everything, you're the beat to my heart, I will do absolutely everything to protect you with my life. Will you marry me?

My hands covering my mouth, I couldn't have thought of any other way to make this sweeter! I answered him with 'Yes yes!!' He smiled and took the ring out of the box and put it on my finger. He stood up and hugged me tight and spinned me around.

JaeHyuk: I love you

He puts me down on the floor and kisses me.

JaeHyuk: I bought this building for the two of us, when we have kids, I can just imagine them running around in the house calling 'Mommy and daddy'

Me: Thank you JaeHyuk.. this is more than I expected.

JaeHyuk: well your a girl who deserves more than what you expect.

JaeHyuk's phone rings and he takes a look, not even answering it but I'm sure it was business, like he said.

JaeHyuk: aish Mianhae(sorry) babe, I have to go back to work, they're calling me, I'l come back home to eat dinner with you to celebrate our engagement okay?

Me: don't work too hard and be safe, love you

He gives me the keys to the house and we kissed then he hugs me. Then he takes his bags and leaves the door. i looked out the window and I saw him wave goodbye to me before he got into his car. I smiled and waved back. He drove off and I walked out to buy some groceries for the house because it was empty in the fridge. I wanted to buy some house decorations to make me feel like home. I couldn't decide on the decorations so i bought many varieties with different colors and designs. I wanted to show and ask JaeHyuk if it was good. Should I just text him? or surprise him at his work? Yea I should surprise him. I walked to the business building and went to the fifth floor. I walked to his room and saw all that it was locked and pretty dark in there, maybe they were having a private talk? I smiled until i heard something unpleasant in JaeHyuk's room. There was a girl and I heard JaeHyuk in there. Suddenly I heard folders and papers falling on the floor. Were they......... on the table?! I ran to the security room and asked to see the camera in JaeHyuk's room. The security didn't let me see, i kept begging and telling him I was JaeHyuk's wife. The security put his hands on my shoulders and told me that JaeHyuk was cheating on me.. my hearted broke a bit but I stood strong and told him I didn't believe it so he showed me the camera in JaeHyuk's room, I saw with eyes a girl and JaeHyuk, they were.. I just can't even go any longer seeing this! I don't even want to talk about it.. I can't believe he's cheating on me, even when we JUST got engaged! I threw all the decorations and groceries on the floor with the key. I pulled the ring off my fingers and threw it real hard on the floor and walked out. I told myself.. Keep calm.. don't let this get to you. I had no where to go because I didn't want my family to worry about me.. where could I go? I found myself walking in an alley way, it was pretty dark now and I heard footsteps. They were following me everywhere I went.

Me: Who is there?

JaeHyuk: Babe... why did you throw our engagement ring away? I loved the decorations, they're beautiful, we have to go to dinner to celebrate our engagement.

Me: Stay away from me.. you know that I'm not fine with you doing that with other girls! You know that! I can't even stand you kissing someone else that is not me..

JaeHyuk: she asked

Me: do you do anything for someone when they ask?

JaeHyuk: I wanted to

Me: So you liked her..

JaeHyuk: okay everyone out here doesn't talk about love anymore, it's about how to get girls.

Me: that's you! You live in a sick society you know that?

JaeHyuk: It's too hard for you to take it in huh? We can do that too, if you're really jealous.

Me: No! No! I don't.. you're disgusting! A player and a badboy.. stay out of my life! I wished I never met you!

JaeHyuk: You have to marry me! You can't just leave whenever you want to, you marrying me is giving your life to me, so i'm in control!

Me: no! There are no witness! I don't have your ring

JaeHyuk: stop being stupid and marry me! You can get money from me, live in expensive houses, eat expensive food and everything! What's bad about me?

Me: you cheat on everyone!

He traps me against the wall and I close my eyes before I could see his furious face at me. I knew I was going probably get raped.. or just hurt.. but I see an evil side of him right now that I never saw. He's never forced me into anything. I felt a cold win pass by and JaeHyuk was on the floor when I opened my eyes. A guy kept punching him and kicking him till JaeHyuk couldn't get up.

Random Guy: I'll give you three seconds to leave out of my sight! One, two, three!

JaeHyuk ran for his life. I was frightened the way JaeHyuk threatened me to marry him. Will he come back? Am I stuck in this engagement?

Me: who are you?

Sehun: Sehun.. get out of this dark place, be safe

Right when he replied to me, he ran and disappeared. I never got to thank him or anything. I ran back home and went into my room, ignoring my parents. I told them 'leave me alone, I'm in a bad mood!' I really wanted to cry but not in front of them. I thought again and again of ways he'll approach to me and forcing me to marry him. Thinking of forcing and approaching, back four years ago when we were in Senior year, JaeHyuk has always forced others to do what he says, no one could go against him, how couldn't I know that? That only means he's going to come back for me, he's not going to let me off the hook that easily. I am really Stuck In This Engagement. I kind of do wish someone like Sehun would save me and protect me but I don't know what to do, I really love JaeHyuk... After four years of knowing him and about two years of dating, I've never seen him like today and I never seen him cheat on me, has he been cheating on me for a long time now? What people would usually tell me to do is leave him.. but what if my answer is..... I still love him.. ?
