Morning Sickness (Nishinomiya Kojirou x Pregnant!Reader) {Drabble}

The moment it was heard from the doctors that you were indeed pregnant, nothing but happiness followed for both you and Kojirou. At least, up until the morning sickness began.

At first, you only expected it to last for a mere week or two, but the pregnancy refused to give you such quick relief. Nearly four whole months passed by with non-stop sickness, becoming so bad to the point where you were no longer able to go to work. As excited as you were over your pregnancy, you couldn't help but feel somewhat pathetic, especially in Kojirou's eyes. Deep down, you knew there wasn't much you could do to prevent the inevitable, but that didn't make you feel any better about it.

Despite how busy he was with work, he wasn't completely oblivious to how you were feeling. It was painfully obvious to him that your happiness dwindled more and more with each passing day full of vomiting. As important as his restaurant was to him, he would choose you over it any day no matter what, and that morning was no exception. While allowing you to believe that he would be going to work early that morning, he instead spent the next few hours preparing your surprise.

You immediately knew something was off the moment you woke up to the mouth-watering aroma of food wafting through the air. You didn't even get a chance to question what was going on before Kojirou entered the shared bedroom with a bowl of soup that looked more appetizing than you even though possible considering the current circumstances.

"K-Kojirou," you stammered, surprised to see them him there. "But I thought you were going to the restaurant...?"

"They can manage a day without me there. Besides, what kind of husband would I be if I wasn't here for you?" he remarked before sitting in bed beside you.

You placed your hand atop of his, flashing him an apologetic look. "You really didn't have to..."

"Oh, shut up and eat already. This should help with the morning sickness so be sure to eat it all," he told you before suddenly smirking. "Don't eat it too quickly, though. You're already starting to look fat as it is."

You couldn't help but laugh. "Now that's the Kojirou I know and love."

He carefully brushed your hair away before placing a small kiss on your forehead, lovingly watching you as you enjoyed the meal he worked so hard on preparing for you.

"Yeah, I love you too, [name]."
