Chapter 10: Fall

We looked at each other, unsure on what to say or do. Johnny walked towards me but I backed away from him, afraid he might yell at me in disgust for having a friend like me.

Then, I was taken aback by Johnny's actions, he hugged me. I felt stiff, I couldn't move and I didn't want to move.

Soon, he pulled away and looked at me "I knew you had secrets pony" he said with a grin. I rolled my eyes and shoved him playfully "shut up Johnnycakes" I said with a smile.

He chuckled before walking around me, eyeing me and my outfit "so, your a cross dresser?" He asked me and I shrugged "I'm not quite sure what I am anymore" I admitted, since the club and meeting new people, making new friends and learning on what little things that I didn't know before. It quite overwhelming and you forget who you are after one little change.

Johnny smile "and you forgot your clothes in the washer, so that kinda gave it away" he said pointing to the laundry room.

I blushed and chuckled nervously "oh, I forgot about them" he smiled. But our happy moment was ruin when we heard someone stomping up the steps.

Johnny pulled my arm and pushed my upstairs "go" he whispered/ Yelled. I nodded my head and ran up the stairs while I hear someone slammed the door.

I ran to my room and closed the door, I changed quickly into, a white top, rip blue jeans and hide my yoga clothes under the bed and ran back downstairs.

I looked in the living room and saw Two bit, he looked at me and grinned his two bit smile "whats up pone?" He asked. I shrugged and walked pass him to the couch "nothing, just tired that all" I said and two nodded his head.

Johnny looked at me and he looked concern. I smiled at him, reassuring him that everything is okay. He breathed shakily and smiled at two.

He didn't notice and just sat in front of the tv and turned on Mickey Mouse. Johnny relaxed and sat on the couch beside me, I smile and watch Mickey Mouse with two and Johnny.

Time went by as we waited, soon the phone ranged. Johnny walked to the phone and picked it up "hello?" He asked and he looked at me "yeah he's here" he said before handing me the phone.

I picked it up and placed it on my ear "Hello?" I asked "Ponyboy, meet me at the lot" Jenna said on the other line before hanging up.

I placed the phone back and started questioning myself 'why would Jenna want to meet me?' I asked, I must have been staring at space because I didn't notice Darry, soda and Steve walked in.

"Pony, me and Steve are gonna go-" I ran pass him and upstairs. I grabbed the clothes under the bed and my duffel bag, I ran down the stairs and to the laundry room.

Darry was walking to the laundry room but he heard me coming and moved out of the way when I ran pass him "sorry" I said before looking in the dryer.

"Johnny must have put them in" I mumbled to myself before stuffing them into my bag.

I ran pass Darry and again, he moved out of the way "sorry again" I said and he chuckled before entering the laundry room. I stopped and jumped on the couch beside soda who was with Steve talking but gotten startled when I jumped beside him.

"Sorry soda but I have to go somewhere" I said quickly, he looked confused but smiled and chuckled "it okay Ponyboy" he said.

I smiled quickly before jumping off the couch and ran to the door and slipped on my shoes 'wait, are these mine?'

"Hey pony, nice kicks" I turned around to two bit who pointed to my shoes, I looked down at my shoes and see that Jonathan's old Nike shoes he gave me, must have left my shoes behind.

I smiled nervously "t-thanks two" I said and ran out the door before my brothers ask questions.

I ran to the lot where Jenna told me to meet her, as I ran. I spotted Tim walking in front of me. He looked up when he heard my footsteps coming closer to him.

I smiled at him and realized that he saw my outfit earlier, I stopped in front of him and he looked down at me "what?" He asked and I grinned "can you do me a favor?" I asked and he shrugged "depends on what it is" he said.

I rolled my eyes and he grinned "Ok, can you not tell my brothers or the gang or anybody else that you saw me in that outfit earlier?" I asked and he hummed, he was thinking about it until he looked at me and smirked "but I already told curly, Angela and the rest of the Tim shepherd gang" he said and I panicked "what?!" I yelled and he chuckled "just kidding kid, no I haven't told anyone" he said.

I breathed in a sigh of relief, he chuckled "Sure kid, I'll keep it a secret" he said before patting my shoulder and left.

I watch him walk away as he disappeared in the distance, I walked to the lot and as I walked closer, I saw Jenna sitting on the broken car seat, playing with a leaf.

Jenna jumped when I walked closer and stepped on a twig. She looked up and she sighed "god pony, you scared the shit out of me" she said with a chuckle with a small smile until it disappeared.

She looked down at her hands and glanced at me, she moved over a bit and patted the seat beside her "Come" she said. I walked towards her and sat beside her.

We were silent for a while until she put the leaf down and looked at me "want to wonder why Jonathan gotten mad?" She asked and I looked at her with surprise "how did you know?" I asked and she shrugged "on how the way he acted when he came home and everyone who knows Jonathan knows this story" she said.

I leaned towards her "tell me" I pleaded and she nodded her head yes. She looked around for a bit before she looked at me and looked down at her feet.

"He had a girlfriend, who was pregnant with max then after she had max, she left Jonathan and the baby the next day when he was suppose to sign her out of the hospital" she said sadly "then, he couldn't take the loneliness with a kid, so he decided to date a few people then when he gotten a few girls pregnant and when they have the kids, they up and leave him with so many responsibilities for one guy to take, after max 15 birthday, he stopped fooling around with others and to take care of the kids and that tune he hums to was the first girl that sang it was to Jonathan" she sighed "to remind him that she always loved him, so she made a song for him but I guess she didn't always felt that way for long"

Jenna sighed and looked down, i furrowed my eyes with a frown. Jenna shook her head and chuckled "he just needs time to cool down that's all" she said with a small smile.

I hummed "I'll take a note for not... interfering in his... personal life" I said and she nodded her head "yeah, try not to get on his bad side" she said before standing up and stretching.

"It's getting cold out, I guess that's my cue to go home" she said before helping me up. We started to walk until a big gust of wind came out of nowhere, she shivered and started to run "it's cold!" She yelled.

I run up to her and grabbed her hand and guided her to my house since it's closer. She squeaked as another gust of wind came crashing down on us.

We yelled and ran as fast as we can, once I saw my house, I pulled her and ran.

We ran up the steps and I opened the door and watch Jenna slammed the door. She panted from all the running, so am I. I heard footsteps behind us, I turned around and saw a panic Darry and soda "what happened? Were there socs chasing you?" He asked and I shook my head no "nah, it's just cold" I said and Jenna nodded her head "yeah, it's so cold" she said before she walked towards the couch and lied down.

I rolled my eyes and sat on the ground beside her, soda sat beside us "so pony, whats you and your girlfriend doing today?" He asked with a smirk. I groaned "she's not my girlfriend" I said and Jenna chuckled "and beside, pony not my type anyway" she said before relaxing on the couch.

Then the door burst open and Darry froze in his spot while looking at someone "Oh... pony?" He asked me and I looked at the door and saw Jonathan.
