Yang's POV:
The train broke through into a courtyard in the middle of the city, scattering debris and rubble around the streets. A large crowd starts gathering around us, my teammates still on the ground recovering from the crash. I however, am already on my feet running towards an unconscious (F/N). Kneeling over him, I see a rebar running through his shoulder. I want to remove the metal pole, but I know if I do, he'll only bleed faster. How could he have been such an idiot? There was no way he could have stopped that train in time.
Reader's POV:
You wake up and feel a dull pain in your left shoulder. Looking over you see a rebar impaling you through the muscle. Looking around you see a large crowd gathered around the area. Damn. The train got through to the city. You think to yourself. You're about to rise to your feet when you receive a hard smack to the back of your head. Looking up, you see Yang kneeling over you.
"You idiot!" She shouts. "Why didn't you listen to me? You're lucky to be alive!"
"I'm sorry." You tell her. "But if I hadn't slowed that thing down as much as I did, that crash would have killed you."
"You don't know that!" She shouts at you.
"Yes, I do. I'm kind of an expert when it comes to kinetic energy and moving objects. There was no way you would have survived, even with Weiss shielding you." Suddenly an alarm starts blaring throughout the city, causing panic and scattering the gathered crowd as Grimm start emerging from the breach caused by the train. "We can talk about this later, but right now we have a job to do."
Getting to your feet, you grab the rebar and bend it, curling it around your shoulder so it doesn't get in the way. You can deal with it afterwards, but no matter what, it can't be removed until you can deal with it properly. Unfortunately, this means you can't effectively wield Rhino's Charge, as any movement would only cause the wound to grow. Instead, you reach down and pick up a handful of rebars from the ground. Holding them in your left hand, you toss one into your right, ready to fight.
You and your team immediately jump into action. Launching into the air, you land on the shoulders of an Ursa, stabbing it through the head with the rebar. Kicking off it, you withdraw the metal pole and backflip onto another, repeating the action. As you land, you see a pack of Creeps running towards you. Throwing the rebar into one of the Grimm's skulls, your tackled to the ground by the rest of the pack. One of them lunges at you but you grab another rebar from your left hand and hold it up over your chest so that right as the creature is about to bite your face, the metal pole is rammed into its chest. Getting to your feet you see Ruby and Blake have disposed of the rest of the Creeps. Out of the corner of your eye you see Yang falling from the sky. Running over to her you throw pole after pole at a flock of swooping Nevermore, managing to kill them all with well-aimed throws. Once Yang gets back on her feet, the two of you dispatch of a swarm of Beowolves that had surrounded Yang when she fell.
Once done, you look up to see Nora riding Magnhild across the sky, bringing the hammer slamming against the head of a King Taijitu. In run Jaune and Ren, Pyrrha falling from the sky, ready to fight. Taking a quick breather, you watch Nora swing Magnhild like a bat, the Grimm acting as baseballs. Meanwhile, Ren jumps from Creep to Creep in a tornado of kicks and sharp blades. Jumping back into the action, you begin to make your way over to Jaune who looks like he's in trouble, but you're surprised when you watch him skillfully dispose of an Ursa Major. Turning your attention elsewhere you see Ren in danger as he is cornered by a Deathstalker and King Taijitu. Running over to him, you help him battle off the Deathstalker, using your last rebar to take out one of the creature's eyes.
"I'm all out." You say.
"Here, take my extra." He offers you one of his guns.
You refuse. "Not my style." Turning around, you use your semblance and uppercut the King Taijitu. As its head comes crashing back down you grab one of its fangs and kick it hard in the face, ripping its tooth from its head. Stabbing it in the eye with its own fang, you jump over its head and make your way over towards Pyrrha who is fending off a horde of Beowolves. Wielding the fang like a dagger, you jump on one of the Beowolves heads and stab it through the skull, killing it. Jumping off its disintegrating corpse, you lunge at another one and stab it in the chest. Together, you and Pyrrha make quick work of the pack, working together to kill the Alpha.
"Nobody move! Junior detectives!"
You look over to see Sun and Neptune whip out badges, having just arrived at the scene.
"We have badges, so you know it's official."
You groan internally before a shadow passes over you. Looking up you see an Atlesian military airship surrounded by smaller fighter aircraft. The turrets mounted on the fighters help to cut through the Grimm as their bay doors open, deploying Atlesian Knights. While the additional units help to prevent any stray from escaping, they are no match for the heavy armor of the Boarbatusks and Death Stalkers, which easily rip them to pieces. Shielding your face with your right arm as scraps of a destroyed Knight fly your way, you prepare to fight off the Ursa Major which sent the machine your way, but you're saved the trouble when Mercury Black, and exchange student from Haven, kicks it in the stomach. You move to go help his associate, Emerald, who is wielding a pair of chained kamas, when you feel the Taijitu fang begin to crumble into ash. Turning around you see Ruby having just cut through the Taijitu's second head. Dammit. Looking around, you jump onto the back of an Ursa Major, pulling out a piece of its spiky armor. Roaring in pain, the creature sends you flying back. Fortunately, it seems unaware of what happened. Unfortunately, it launched you right at an Atlesian Paladin emerging from the breach in the ground. Your face falls when you see it stand at full height. There's no way the tiny little toothpick you're holding will be able to dispatch of that giant mech. Suddenly, the mech falls to its knees, and out of the hole jumps Zwei, followed by Professor Oobleck.
Above you, you hear another airship approaching, and you look up to see a Bullhead carrying Professor Port and Team CFVY. Jumping out of the plane, Yatsuhashi creates a crater in the ground with his great sword, sending Grimm flying in all directions. You groan again when Fox kills the Ursa Major whose spike you had, and you have to quickly duck as the rest of its spikes shoot out from its exploding body, striking down a respectable amount of Grimm. You watch in amusement as Coco kicks an Alpha Beowolf in the crotch, before killing it with her handbag. Converting her bag into a rotary canon, she begins mowing down Grimm.
"Hey (F/N)!" She shouts. "Let's light up the sky."
Looking up you see a flock of approaching Nevermore. Snapping your fingers, you strafe the skies with explosions while Coco tears them to shreds with her Gatling gun.
The Grimm numbers are finally starting to let up as Professors Port and Oobleck take care of any remaining beasts, with the help of an irritated Goodwitch. Walking over to the hole from which the Grimm are flooding, she uses her semblance to seal the breach, effectively ending the fight, save a few stragglers which are quickly dispatched of.
