[Cj]

I let out a long sigh as I watched the water flow in the lake. I was on the back porch of the lakehouse. It was 6 in the morning and I have yet to sleep. I only have one person on my mind right now, and its Teagan. Maybe I moved in with Derek too quickly, I should have been here for her. She's my best friend, my sister. She was the one there for me when everyone walked out.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket, unlocking it and dialing up Derek's number. I felt my heart race as the line rung, "Hey baby, " I heard his voice. Making this 10 times harder.

"Hey, D . . . I love you, I really do. But I don't think this is going to work out." I rushed out the words we both didn't want to hear.

"Wait. What?" He questioned me.

I bit my lip, "Teagan needs me right now. . . Jayson's going to be here in 2 months. . . I need time." My voice cracked. "I'm so sorry." I said as silence fell on the other end.

"Goodbye, Derek." I spoke, pulling my phone away from my ear and hanging up. I placed my phone down before pulling my hands to my face and crying into them. I really did love Derek.

"Cj?" I heard a soft voice. I looked up to see Cameron. "Hey. . . What's wrong?" He asked me as I wiped my eyes.

"Um," I sniffled. "I just broke up with Derek." I said lowly.

"Oh, C. . ." He sighed before leaning down and wrapping his arms around me tightly. "What happened?"

I hugged him back, now full out crying. "I just need to be there for Tee right now, I'm having a baby in 2 months, I just can't right now."

"I understand," He stated as he rubbed my back before pulling away. "We all need to be here for Teagan right now. . ." He sat down across from me.

I nodded slowly, remembering of what I saw yesterday, "Cam?"

"Hm?"

"Do you have something for Teagan?" I questioned him. He began choking on air? I guess. My eyebrows furrowed and I stood up, patting his back, "Shit? Are you okay?"

He nodded as his coughing died down slowly. "Yeah, you just caught me off guard there." He said, clearing his throat. "Why would you think that?"

I sat back down, "The way you look at her, the way you care for her, that isn't regular love. . . It can't be."

"Cj—."

"No, it's fine if you do, its just me and Jacki—."

"I'm her brother, Cj." His eyes focused on me.

"I know that but—."

"No, Cj," He stopped me. "I'm her blood brother."

I woke up the next morning and walked downstairs, where everyone was. Cj looked up at me and turned back to everyone else. "Okay, he's awake now. . . Everyone sit down please." She motioned towards the couches.

My eyebrows furrowed as I sat down, "What's going on?" I asked.

"Cj, Cameron, and Jackie called some family meeting." Tez shrugged as he sat down next to Bri, wrapping her arm around her. I nodded slowly and focused my attention to the three standing up. Something looked off. They all looked upset.
