You're looking for Connor. You can't find him anywhere and you're starting to worry about him. You know he can take care of himself but you can't help yourself. You look for him by a lake that's close by. You find his jacket on the edge of the lake. It's soaking wet. As you pick it up you start to fear the worst.
Then you notice the truck that you've ignored for the last 10 minutes. In the back of the truck you see Connor lying down with a dirty piece of cloth on top of him. "Connor? Connor!" You yell as you run to him. You pull the piece of cloth off of him and start shaking him, hoping that he'll wake up.
He starts to move and you take a step back. "What happened?" He asks as he wakes up. "I don't know. You disappeared and I found you here. When I found your jacket to be soaking wet by the edge of the river I feared the worst. Thank god you're okay." You hug him as he sits on the edge of the truck. He wasn't expecting it and flinches for a second.
"I'll always be okay. Don't worry." He reassures you. "Now let's go. We need to hurry." "Why Connor? What's wrong?" "I was chasing a deviant when I got unconscious and I need to find them again." "Okay, let's do it." You say as you take a step back and let him crawl down from the truck. You walk out of the forest and look for the deviant.
The deviant was a small round robot. It wasn't an Android like Connor. It wasn't supposed to be sentient. But somehow it was and now you have to deal with it.
The place where you found it was not nice. It was a kind of factory where they either reset or scrapped the Android's that had gone deviant. (Ironic I know). Why it chose to run this way you didn't know but you followed it nonetheless.
You chased it around in there and Connor got captured once by some workers and almost got reset because they thought he was a deviant. You quickly assured them that he wasn't a deviant and they stopped the procedure just in time. Connor thanked you for the assistance and you both continued chasing the deviant.
You chased it outside and you fell in the grass. You bruised your knee but could still run. You also tore a hole in your pants. At last you caught the deviant and got it reset. When you went outside again and talked with Connor you both had to go shopping for dinner.
"C'mon, let's go." You say and start to walk. Connor puts a hand on your shoulder and stops you. "Wait. Turn around and let me see." You turned around and sighed. "It's nothing. It doesn't hurt and the hole in the knee on the pants I can just say is part of the design." He wouldn't listen. "No, let me help. Your knee is going to be fine but you don't have to run around in muddy hole-filled pants.
He did something that you couldn't see and a few minutes after a drone was arriving with a small package. He opened it and inside was a white suit that (except from the color) looked exactly like his. He took the new clothes and went inside. When he came back outside he was wearing the white suit and his was in the box. "Here, you can take this on." He handed you the box.
"There is a bathroom right by the door in there, where you can change. I'll wait here." He said and pointed to the doors where he came out from. You thanked him and went inside to change. Wearing his jacket was something you hadn't tried before despite being partners for 2 years. It felt nice.
When you got back outside he couldn't stop looking at you. "So, should we get going now?" You ask him, knowing full well that he was looking when you came outside. He cleared his throat. "Yes. Let's go." You walked a bit in silence before he spoke again. "It suits you. The uniform, I mean." You could tell that he was nervous. "Thanks. You look good as well." You compliment him back.
When you get into the store Connor starts acting weird. He's knocking over cans and looking at all sorts of weird stuff on the shelves. The cans was a accident though. You remember him telling you something about the magnetic field that's in the doors can have a small impact on him. You shake your head a d chuckle, then you apologize to the shop workers and put everything back to where it was. You finish your errand with Connor and hurry outside so Connor can be himself again. He apologizes to you and you both laugh.
