No swearing.
You're sitting in class, bored out of your mind. The teacher keeps talking and talking, without end. Special class. History, religion and society, all in one. You're not really interested in having this class. You don't like this class, it's boring. You're not that into history and religion, and society doesn't really interest you either. It's just a class that you need to get through. Out of boredom you look out the window, just to get time to pass quicker.
You see some of the kids from the neighboring school run around outside, wishing that you could join them. While thinking back to the time you were their age, you see someone that looks kinda shady. You've seen enough crime programs to know that you don't trust people. Your conscience told you to warn the teacher about the possible threat.
But on the other hand you were bored and wanted to see where this were going, so you kept quiet and just looked at them walking around outside. You didn't want to make it obvious to the others in class that someone was outside, so when they walked around the building you couldn't follow them anymore. You hear them outside the door. They were in the building and they were not quiet about it.
Suddenly the door slams open and two heavily armed men enter the room. "Everybody out!" One of the men said with an Eastern European accent. Your teacher was so stunned that he didn't know what to do, so he just stood there and looked at them. The other students were stunned as well, by the sudden attack, but not you. You had seen them coming. You were prepared for the shock that was to come.
"I said move it!" The man said again. He fired a single shot into the roof, that snapped the teacher back to the harsh reality. "Alle sammen ud. Følg efter dem og gør som de siger så ingen kommer til skade." Your teacher said. He was trying to calm all of you down, completely unaware that you didn't need to be calmed down. You were completely calm through it all.
Your eyes were glued to the weapons that these strangers were carrying. They weren't carrying anything special but you had never seen the weapons in real life before so they intrigued you. The silent guy had a 9 mm. in his belt, and they both had a smaller gun in their boots that you didn't know the name of. The silent one of the two had a shotgun in his hand and the other had his 9 mm. They both had AK-47's on their backs.
You all went out into the main area where the other classes were already being held captive, and your class just joined them. "That's all of them." A guy who captured students from another class said. There were around 11 strangers. Two for each class, and then a leader. The strangers all nodded to each other and began their plan.
"Alle lærere i den der ende og alle elever i den anden ende! Mine partnere snakker kun engelsk så jeg snakker for dem." Their leader yelled. You began splitting up. Teachers went to the far end of the area and students went closer to the strangers. "Lærere vælg en der skal snakke for jer, og elever i gør det samme." You heard the other students talking and voting. The teachers choice was obvious, they chose the schools headmaster. You and the other students had chosen one of the boys from the special ICS class. Jack.
(ICS is a special english only class on our school, where all classes are in english and you don't have exams. Instead you have different projects throughout the year)
Jack was used to talking for everyone so he was the obvious choice. "Godt. Nu da begge grupper har valgt en til at snakke for jer, grib." They threw a gun to the teachers and one to the students. Jack caught the gun, but the headmaster didn't. She picked it up. "Godt, godt. Nu vælger eleverne en voksen de vil af med, og de voksne vælger en elev de vil af med. Bliver ingen valgt så vælger vi."
What?!? they can't do that. You thought. They can't make you choose to kill each other. But they did. They made you take another persons life. And not just any person, but a teacher. You admit that you don't necessarily like all of them equally, but it was still a human life. While you had been thinking the others had made a choice. They chose the schools chemistry teacher.
You didn't have chemistry so the loss was not that big for you. But the 9th graders were hit hard by that choice. And not only did the strangers make you choose who to kill, they also ordered you to kill him. Against his will Jack pulled the trigger. And the chemistry teacher gave a cry of pain, as the bullet hit his chest. The teachers hadn't chosen a student to murder, so the strangers chose one. they chose an 8th grader that you didn't care about, so again, the loss was not that big.
Admitted, you were a bit scared of the consequences of all of this. All this just because you were bored. You could have prevented this, you could have stopped this. All you had to do was tell your teacher what you had seen, and then call the police. But you didn't. You kept quiet and let it all happen, because you were bored. Boredom is a dangerous thing.
