CHAPTER SEVENTEEN : DRUNK WORDS SOBER THOUGHTS AND A THROBBING HEART

Lan Zhan was inching closer and closer.Wei Ying unconsciously closed his eyes and then..... "what?" he exclaimed as Lan Zhan passed out and laid on top of him. Wei ying could smell the emperor's smile on him he slowly moved Lan Zhan and tried to sit up and walked over to Jiang cheng to wake him up. "Jiang Cheng. wake up come on..." "what.. What is it Wei Ying?"       "We need to bring Lan Zhan back into his room." "what did you do to him you idiot" "hey he got drunk and only with two cans. Pretty weak." "what if Xichen finds out you're in big trouble Wei Ying." "just get up and help me okay. Come on " Wei Ying said dragging Jiang cheng on his feet. They managed to wake Lan Wangji up who still looked pretty drunk and escorted him back to his room on their way they saw Lan Xichen and Jiang cheng was in panic. "what now? " "Distract him." "What?" "I don't know just make sure he doesn't see me bring Lan zhan in"  Wei ying said  taking hold of Lan Zhan and carrying him on his back. Jiang cheng sighed and walked away. Xingchen was on his way  to the dorms when Jiang cheng approached him. "Senior Xichen!"     "Jiang Cheng, hello where are you going"      "oh ummm trying to get some fresh air"     " I see. Where is Wei Wu Xian? I wanted to congratulate him for winning second place."
"he's in our  room  with Wen ning. I just went out for a bit
Wei Ying is being his crazy self as always."  Jiang cheng sighed he is so going to get back at Wei ying for this. "well I'll be heading off to see him then."    Lan Xichen  said as he turned to leave Jiang cheng  was in pabic  he decided to ran after him and called out. "Senior Xichen wait! "    "what is it?"     "Can you..... will you help me with practice?   I want to do better in archery. Wei ying always says I suck at it so.... Can you help me?"    Lan Xichen smiled and patted jiang cheng's shoulder.   "of course. Let's head over to the archery field  then. " Xichen smiked and ushered jiang cheng toward their destination.

Wei ying was walking tiwards Lan Wangji's dorm room the latter  still nestled on his back. He could feel Lan zhan's breath on his nape. Wei ying  smiled to himself Lan zhan will feel embarrassed if he finds out he carried him on his back. He opened the door and placed Lan zhan back on his feet. He ushered him in and closed the door behind him. " good thing Lan Xichen is not here.or else I'm in deep trouble.  Lan zhan why didn' t you tell me you can't hold your  alcohol well. Ughhh you're heavy." wei ying saighed and placed him on the bed. He went to fetch a glass of water and sat beside him. lan Zhan  was motionless  and had his eyes closed.Wei Ying couldn't help but notice hia features.Lan zhan was handsome   his face was pale and sharp  and his golden eyes looked so beautiful. Wei ying continued to stare at him when he saw two pairs of golden eyes staring back at him.  He felt his heart stop with look Lan Zhan was giving him.  "Lan zhan....how are you feeling?"     "hurt"    "huh?  Hurt?  Where? I'm so sorry did you bump on something? Where does it hurt?"  Wei Ying asked in panic. If Lan Zhan sobers up he's in big trouble.  Lan Wangji stays silent making Wei ying more scared. He grabs Lan zhan's shoulder " Lan Zhan.. I'm sorry please tell me where it hurts."  Lan Wangji grabs his hand  places it atop his chest. Wei ying couldn't say a word he could feel Lan zhan's heartbeat. "Lan zhan......."     "not with words. Feel it listen to it.  Wei Ying. "    Lan zhan whispered. Wei Ying couldn't move  he was confused with the way Lan zhan is acting.is it because of the alcohol? He decides to pry even more. "hey Lan Zhan.....  are you drunk?"    "mnn"    "are you mad?"       "yes" Wen ying was suprised. Lan zhan was mad? is ot because of the emperor's smile they drank? He's positive he will be getting detention for this.   "hey Lan zhan why are you mad?  Is it me?"     "mnn" now he was  confused. Lan zhan was pretty honest when drunk.  "do you hate people Lan zhan?"     "no"      
"Jiang cheng"    "no"   "Huaisang?"   "no"   "Wen Ning?"   Lan zhan instantly frowned hearing Wen Ning's name.he doesn't hate him he just doesn't like the fact that Wei ying is giving him so much attention "do you hate Wen Ning Lan zhan?  But he is such a nice kid. don't hate him okay?"   Wei Ying said patting Lan zhan's head  Lan zhan looked at him with slight pout on his lips Wei ying found it too adorable seeing this new expression.  "Wei ying......."    "yeah?"      " don't go to him."   what?"    "stay here." Lan zhan said  placing his head on  Wei ying's shoulder.Wei ying  is at a loss for words. lan zhan's actions are really weird.  He could feel he own heart beat racing.  "Lan zhan...."   "hmmm"    "me? How about me?  Do you hate me?"   he asked somehow he was afraid of the answer he might get. Lan zhan looks at him and flicks him on his forehead.   "no. "     "really thank goodness. I thought you...."
"mine....."  Lan zhan answered and  drops his head on Wei Ying's shoulder falling alseep .
