CHAPTER. EIGHT. SILENCE SHIVERS AND SCOWLS

Hours go by and Lan Wangji is trying his best not to walk out of the library Wei ying has been peestering him since they started   detention  walking back and forth  calling him by his given name and his birth name making weird faces. You can almost see a vein pop in his head  he sighed continuing to read. Wei ying on the ither hand is getting really bored and frustrated Lan zhan is compketely ignoring him and not daring to glance at him. Somehow  he felt quite hurt he knows people tend to dislike him because of  his rowdy personality but they always say it out loud unlike this person who doesn't say a thing and completely ignores him.  He decides to sit in front of  Lan zhan trying to get his attention "hey Lan zhan.....do you hate me?"      "Lan zhan  looked up and met Wei ying's eyes he could see the look of worry in them he couldn't stand looking at Wei ying and  looked away missing the look of hurt in wei Ying's eyes Wei ying falls silent and walk over to his own table starting to write  he sneaks glances at Lan zhan trying to catch his eye.Lan Wangji meets his eyes and Wei ying grins at him making his cheeks grow warm " haha Lan zhan  you don't hate me right? i hope you don't its okay if you don't like me. Just...... Just tell me okay I'll understand  if you don't like me.not everyone does." Wei ying turns his gaze away remembering what happened a few years ago.when he often gets bullied and beaten up by the bigger kid. Then he remembers the one time somebody actually stood up for him. He smiled remembering that memory.   He continued to do his work and finally finished  giving it to Lan Wangji who took it quietly he opened it to check Wei ying's writings and dropped it when he saw  something in between the pages. He felt his blood run cold as Wei ying starting laughing " ahahahha  Lan zhan your face is priceless. Look at you!  You're as pale as a sheet of paper." Wei ying said clutching his sides seeing Lan Zhan"s reaction  he placed a photo of two guys in a compromising   position inside his book  and  handed it over to  Lan Wangji and as he predicted he got a reaction. lan zhan was shaking  in utmost anger glaring daggers at him. He picked up the photo but Wei Ying snatched it away.  " give it back."     "nope why would I?  Oh wait..  You  wanna keep it for yourself ?"  Lan Wangji was trembling this is the first time somebody dared to provoke him. " I..... I'm not looking at it?"  he said with a raspy voice Wei Ying grinned at him holding the photo in front of him making him look away. "are you going to give it to headmaster or Senior Xichen?  What will they say if they saw you havong this kind of  photo Lan zhan?"  Wei Ying said as he started to run towards the door. Lan zhan caught him by his wrist grabbing him and toppling forward both  ended up in the ground with Lan zhan on top of him. Wei ying's eyes widened   Lan zhan was in close proximity he could see his long eyelashes. He gulped as Lan zhan bore his eyes on him.  Wrist held tight he breathed heavily and  sighed.  "Lan... zhan uhmmm ok I give up can you let go now?"     he said looking at Lan zhan who held his wrists tighly that he grip on the photo loosened.  lan zhan took the photo and stood up. "leave."   " but Lan zhan I...... "    " leave now!"  Lan zhan shouted startling Wei Ying he took his things and dashed out of the library. He ran as fast as he could not daring to look back he could still feel the anger in Lan zhan's voice.  "maybe I went to far this time. "  he said to himself finally slowing down he didn't notice someone  walking  in front of him. He bumped  into the person and topples backwards but the persom caught him.  " Wei wuxian are you okay?"    "Senior Xichen... I ummm yeah I'm fine sorry for bumping into you."    "its alright is your detention time over?  i was just about to go  to the library to check on you. Where's Wangji?"     "He"s..... He's still at the library. "     Wei ying answered with a sad look on his face.  "what's wrong Wei ying did something happen?"     " oh no ha ha nothing happened I'll see you tomorrow  Senior Xichen. "   Wei ying bowed and started to walk away
