I went to the zoo today. I'm a huge animal lover (if you can't tell already) and I aspire to be a zoologist or zoo veterinarian one day, so I already love going to zoos (though I do often disagree with the sizes of the animals enclosures), but the definite highlight of the day was the lemurs.
I brought my sketch book to draw some of the animals, and when we went into the lemur walkthrough, I took my book out. The lemurs were crowded in one area, and their were a lot of kids trying to coax them to sit on their shoulders (as they sometimes do). So I backed off a little and started sketching.
The lemurs got super interested in what I was doing, and one came and sat on my shoulder. I couldn't help but feel a little smug as they chose me over the loud kids. The lemur was really chill, and just watched me draw (though he did grab my pencil once - I now have lemur bite marks on it lmao). One jumped on my sister and grabbed at my sketchbook, which was really cute.
I wasn't fond of lemurs before, but now I have a bit of a soft spot for them.
this looks like trash though lol. I'll post the sketches from my sketch book later.
