Chapter 15: S-class assemble

"That was some good work today King." I said proudly as we began our walk home. King was still huffing from his workout. "Thanks, I couldn't have done it without you." He said with a toothy grin.

"Don't mention it, if you keep at it then you'll be a true force to be reckoned with." King looked to me. "Do you think I'll be able to help on the battlefield?" He asked. I pondered this for a moment before shaking my head. "Not for a while. I would say it would take about a year training how I did to gain something similar to low S-class strength. I would say that you should only fight as a last resort for now." I put my hand on his shoulder. "Don't let that discourage you though, we all got to start somewhere."

He chuckled. 'It's fine, I spent my life being a layabout so I expected this to be the case." He pumped his fist. "I'm just anxious to get into fight." He said with immense amount of energy. I sharpened my eyes at him. "Oh?" I got in front of him, blocking his path. Tightening my muscles and getting into a fighting stance I looked directly into his eyes. "Would you like to fight me then?" I said in a serious manner.

Kings eyes flew open as he took a defensive step back and put his hands up. Before he could say anything both of our phones rang in unison. The two of us stopped and gave each other a knowing look.

I took out my phone and sure enough it was the association. "What seems to be the problem?" I asked. "We're calling all S-class heroes to the association building for a meeting." I gripped my phone tightly as they finished their sentence. "Tatsumaki..." I said absentmindedly. "What was that?" The person on the other end asked. 'Nothing, don't worry, I'll be there." I stated, and hung up the phone. King also seemed to be done with his call as he did the same as I did.

"You ready?" I asked. He nodded. I pulled out the controller for the drone and commanded it to head back to the house with the excess weights. The drone flew off in the opposite direction that we were walking. "If you'll get on my back we can get there more quickly." I said back to King.

He sighed and reluctantly got on. "This is so embarrassing, you know that?" He said quietly. "No time for complaining, let's go. Better hold on tight." When I felt his grip tighten I made my first leap. "A-city, here we come!"

When King and I arrived we were rushed into the building. "Seems like things have gotten serious all of a sudden. They haven't called for a meeting like this in some time." King said in passing as we were whisked into an elevator.

Ascending upwards we were met with a small computer screen that popped up in the elevator, it gave us an idea of what was going on before we got to the meeting room. "So, they are saying that there is a potential dragon level threat huh?" I pounded my fist. "This should be interesting."

"You seem a bit too excited for this..." King said, lowering his eyes. I laughed it off. "Oh, sorry. I'm just ready to fight something strong again. The Sea king was the last thing I fought that was a threat, but I don't feel like it was a fair fight." King rubbed the back of his head. "Well, you were pretty much still broken at the time." I snapped my finger. "That's true." As I finished my sentence the door opened.

In front of us was a long hallway. "Huh, neat." I said, taking a step out of the elevator. "Follow me, the room is this way." King passed me and began his walk. "Right behind you." I replied back.

When we came to the end of the hall we saw two large doors. 'This is it." King said as he pulled the doors open. Inside there were only a few heroes present so far. "Hmm, Zombieman, and Child emperor. Oh, you're here too Watchdog man." The three of them turned to me.

"So, you're the one who took out that meteor huh?" Zombieman said, his eyes boring into me. "Oh, yeah. That was me." I said awkwardly. "That explains the name then." Child emperor said as he licked a lollipop.
