Death

~2 Months Later~

"____! Hey! Wake up!" Jeff shakes you vigorously until you open your eyes.

"WHAT IS IT?!" You yell. Jeff has been doing this every day for the past month now! Each day, he tells you he loves you. You're still living in the mansion, except Lily's been gone for three weeks. You actually worry about her.

"____! Hey!" Jeff yells, a little louder this time. You sit up and slap him across the face. He is shocked, but then he laughs like the crazy maniac he is.

"____! Slender wants us. You actually have to get up for once."

"Ugh..." You groan in annoyance. You get up, and you put on the blue hoody that you recieved when you first came here. Eyeless Jack (shyly) told you that it was an old hoody of his, and that you were allowed to keep it. Jeff was always jealous whenever you put it on, so that's why you wear it.

You walk downstairs to the living room, where Slender was standing with Ben and Masky.

"Oh! Slender, ____'s awake," Masky whispers. Slender stands up and faces you, and you grow worried and confused. He senses this, and he puts a hand on your head.

"Don't worry child. Nothing is wrong. You aren't in trouble," he says quietly. You sigh, relief flooding your body. "Although, I have some... bad news." Your body tenses up, and you look at your feet and embrace the news.

"Lily was found dead in the backyard," Ben blurts out. You instantly become confused.

"But, I though she was already dead!" You exclaim. Jeff puts a finger if front of his mouth, indicating you to be quiet. He then points to the couch, where Masky's sitting.

Sally's sleeping peacefully on Masky's shoulder.

You nod your head in understandment. "How?" You ask. "Lily's already dead."

"Yes yes, I know, but... Her spirit was found lying in a fallen position on the grass. Her ghost must've fell from the roof. Ben, please explain to ____ how... immortality works."

"Well," Ben starts, "I am immortal, as you know. So is Slender, but Jeff isn't, and you aren't. If a knife goes through your and Jeff's heart, both of you will die. If a knife goes through my heart, I won't die. I already died, so I can choose which objects can touch me."

"What about Slender?" You ask.

"Slender has always been immortal. He won't tell us his past... But he is able to be injured. Because I am a ghost, I am able to be injured by other ghosts. Ghosts can also injure themselves... Which is what Lily did. I don't know why she did it, but... I guess she decided that she's had enough. Maybe she let the ground hit her body, instead of just floating through it..."

So, Lily commited suicide. Ben hands you a note that was addressed to you from Lily. She only wanted you to read it. You read:

Dear ____,

I know I've bothered you a lot...

I was always jealous of how Jeff had feelings for you.

Ben told me that the feeling I had was "love."

I loved Jeff, but then I grew feelings for Ben.

Ben never really liked me, but I always wanted to get his attention... Even if it ment doing something awful, like hypnotizing him.

Slender talked to me about hypnotizing. He even brought me one of his snacks to try it on...

Oh, I should also probably tell you that Slender eats children.

I was scared ____. I didn't want to live forever. That's an awful thing to think.
