I had a decision to make. A decision I never thought I’d have to make. My wings were out, pushing me towards the sky, as I was being pulled at the same time.
“Wait!” I called into the Heavens. I froze in midair.
“What is it my child?” I looked down to the ground where the curly haired boy lay, knocked out cold. I had grown so close to him. I couldn’t leave him like this.
“I can’t come back. Please. Let me stay. I… I need him. I can’t leave him. Please, let me stay. I beg you.”
“Is that truly what you want?” Again, I looked to the curly haired boy I’d fallen in love with. He had made the impossible happen. That had to mean something right?
“It is.”
