Molly and I are almost at the house when suddenly she stops and turns to me, grabbing my shoulders lightly. "Do you want to tell the boys we are working with Storm, or should we just tell them we were gardening?"
"Uh doesn't matter to me." I don't care either way truthfully.
"We'll just tell them we were gardening for now. Maybe when Storm is polished up we can surprise them. I'll tell Tom though."
I nod. "Sounds good to me."
She turns back to the house and we start walking again.
"Oh shoot! I forgot to grab my phone from the barn! I'm gonna go grab that quick." I pat pockets just to double check, but alas my true love is missing.
Molly nods. "Yeah sure, go get it. I'm gonna get supper started. Well, maybe." She looks thoughtful for a moment before she turns back to the house.
I head back to the barn, retrieved my phone aaaaand got distracted by the horses and cats. By the time I finally leave the barn, 30 minutes have passed and I am starving. So I sprint up to the house, after saying goodbye to everyone.
I reach the porch, fling the door open and bolt into the house. Must have FOOD.
As I speed into the kitchen I crash into Finn. "Watch where you're going!" He growls at me as he rubs his head.
I sneer. "Sorry your highness." I sarcastically bow, rolling my eyes.
He looks down at me.
"Oh, it's just you. I thought it was Conner or somebody else, besides where are you going so fast?"
I don't even hear his question as I look over his shoulder making sure I'm not late. The table isn't even set yet. Gosh darn it. All of a sudden I'm being shook like a friggin present on Christmas Eve.
"Hey! Where were you going so fast?" He demands looking at me with a look that probably is supposed to be serious but it's more funny than anything.
"Ah.....what?" I look at him, a light smile on my lips. "Oh I was, uh, going to my room. To uhhh.... get my phone. Yeah." I say nodding my head, still smiling like a dork. Who knows why.
"O.......k?" He says giving me a puzzled look.
I nod my head again, trying to be convincing, as I slip around him, maneuvering through the maze of toys and clothes, making sure I don't trip again.
I can tell he is still watching me as I walk away. So as soon as I am out of his sight I sprint up the stairs taking them two at a time, careful about where I put my feet. As I bolt down the hall into my room, I only remember which is mine because it's at the end.
I fly into my room, grab the door handle and slam it shut behind me. I stand there for a minute panting. When I finally stop, I lean against the door and slide down to the ground resting my head in my hands.
"What's up with you?"
I jump straight into the air and plaster myself against the door when I notice it is only (hahaha who am I kidding, only) one of the boys. He is sitting on the bed watching me with a worried look.
But this is not like "Are you ok?" This look is more like "You need to be in a mental hospital." He looks exactly like Finn except he has dirty blonde hair.
I am guessing that this is his twin, Conner. Pain in the ass #2.
I glare at him. "I'm not used to finding people in my room sitting on my bed waiting for me like some damn stalker."
