After Fat Finn collapsed on me, because he was tired, I yelled at him and shoved him off. Never fear, he's perfectly fine.
Then I went and kicked butt for the rest of the night in every game we played.
My one hiding spot was so good that during hide and seek, I was just chilling there for 30 minutes before I finally got bored enough to emerge from my spot. Technically, I wasn't supposed to leave but I didn't want to reveal where I was, so I left.
After I showed myself, the boys begged and pleaded to know where I hid.
I didn't tell them anything.
I could barely believe it myself about how good that spot was. It seemed like they walked past me a hundred times.
The look on their faces was priceless.
I wasn't as great at Ultimate Frisbee as I was at hiding, but it was still super fun.
We were still playing when Molly called us in to eat supper. I immediately deserted the game and dashed into the house, propelled by my hungry stomach.
The boys soon followed me into the house, the youngest in first. I helped Molly get the table set as the rest of the boys washed their hands before sitting down to eat.
Dinner was pretty normal, normal for them anyway, which consisted of the boys arguing with one another until their parents told them to shut up.
The days leading up to the party were fairly mild. I worked with Storm some more and helped Molly in the garden for a bit as she told me embarrassing stories about the boys, which proved to be a great thing to bond over.
Finn also took me to town a couple more times for the ice cream he owed me, to my immense pleasure.
I also continued to swim a lot. I was mainly joined by Finn, Tyler, Jon, Evan and George. I learned that both Tyler and Jon are extremely quick thinkers and enjoy roasting the hell out of me. Finn revealed that despite his seemingly demure nature, Evan is actually the family rebel.
The strangest thing was that Finn was always swimming whenever I was. For the most part, it was pretty relaxing.
When the day of the party arrived I was ecstatic. I had so much pent up energy, that even Tom noticed.
I decided right away that my outfit for the night was going to be grunge.
Having already said goodnight to everyone, I search through my clothes. A wonderful, but also partially terrible, idea pops into my head.
The closer I get to Finn's door, the more I regret my decision. Thankfully the carpet muffles my footsteps. I knock quietly and wait outside. The door flies open to reveal Finn in all his half naked glory. My eyes drift over his abdomen without my permission before I yank them back up to his face.
At least he's wearing some jeans.
He smirks at me as he leans on the doorframe with his arms crossed, muscles shifting slightly.
I wrinkle my nose. "You aren't going to get any ladies looking like that. Put on a damn shirt." I whisper at him as I brush past without an invitation.
He shuts it behind me as I look through the clothes in his closet. "Are you sure about that? You seemed pretty interested a couple days ago." He speaks normally, now that we are behind a closed door.
Thinking fast, I blurt out the first thing that comes into my head. "I couldn't get over the shock of such ugliness." I continue flipping while he makes a choking noise behind me.
