Thank you for loving my story and supporting it so much!! Love you all!!
Let's start the show!
Max's POV
I roll my eyes with impatience as he continues to walk despite my tugging on his arm.
I step in front of him, halting him.
He sighs and stops just short of me, forcing me to step back unless I want to be flush against him, again. I mentally smack myself for remembering that.
"Look sorry, but my friends are waiting and they probably are starting to think I chickened out. I'm in a bit of a rush." He runs a hand through his hair, ruffling it up.
"What do you need?" He asks politely. I snort at his foofed up hair.
"Thanks for not kissing me," I say bluntly.
He makes a noise and I glance up at him. He looks a little redder than usual. I smirk knowing I got him pinned. "It's admirable."
He relaxes and rubs the back of his neck. "No problem, you seemed uncomfortable and I didn't want to force myself onto you. You are rarely uncomfortable so I decided against it." He smiles at me. A nice smile, one that I would possibly want to see again.
"Now before we go anywhere, I want make a couple things clear." Bringing a stern tone in my voice.
He raises an eyebrow at me.
"Yes, you are arractive, even I can see that. No, I do not like you. I am pretty slow when it comes to catching feelings. So if you like me, don't expect any of the same feelings from me anytime soon." I sigh and look up at him.
He raises his eyebrows. "Alright, I kinda assumed so, you are definitely your own woman." He pauses. "Do you think I like you?"
I squint at him for a second, thinking. "No, not yet." I waggle my eyebrows at him.
He scoffs and rolls his eyes. I laugh at him. "Oh yeah right. Maybe in your dreams." He crosses his arms and leans down towards me.
I scowl at his comment and smack his arm as he gives me a shit eating grin. "Alright, now where are your dorky friends?" I scan the crowd.
"Dorky?" He exclaims as I grab his arm and yank him through the crowd.
I pretend he didn't speak. "Hopefully they aren't drunk. Drunk people are either scary or funny, but I don't want to deal with drunks at all. I'm sick of dumb people."
"Are you calling me dumb?" He inquires as I continue weaving around other people's limbs.
I smile evilly. "No, I just don't want to deal with any stupid people at all, now or for the rest of the night. This whole crowd has been enough idiots for me."
We finally push our way through the crowd. We are both panting from being nearly suffocated several times again.
Don't these people know what personal space is?
Of course, Finn's friends spot us right away one of them practically runs over to us, giggling like an excited little girl.
I stare at them blankly as the one stumbles over. "Fucking hell." I mutter under my breath.
He's drunk. Ethan pops up from behind them and waves at me, smiling.
The other one just watches the drunk one with a tired expression on his face.
I smile and wave back at Ethan. At least he doesn't seem drunk. Finn claps his buddy on the back. "Here my good friends, is Max. Told ya she'd come over."
The guy who doesn't look drunk steps up first. "Nice to meet you, I'm Trent. In just a short while I've heard good things about you already." He smiles lopsidedly.
I glance at both Ethan and Finn with raised eyebrows. They both point at each other and I snort.
Finn catches my eye over the drunk guys head and gives me a pointed look.
I scowl before turning to him and smile slightly to be polite. "Nice to meet you."
Drunkie grabs my hand with way more enthusiasm, shaking it up and down quickly. "Hi, nice to meet you Max! I'm Rylan. Wow you are really pretty! And strong too! Woo wee! Can you flex for me once?" I blink in surprise as I process what he said.
I raise an eyebrow at Finn and Ethan. Ethan shrugs his shoulders. Finn doesn't move.
I turn back to Rylan. "Absolutely I can." I shrug off my leather jacket an throw it at one of the other boys.
I push up my shirt sleeve and flex. His eyes light up in delight and his mouth drops open. "Dang!! I bet you can bench as much as I can!!" He pushes his shirt sleeve and stands next to me to compare.
Rylan obviously is more muscular then me, but he stills shouts in excitement. "YOOOOOO! Look at this girl's arms!!!" Which draws the attention of the rest of the boys.
Ethan looks at my arms before giving me an impressed look. Finn rolls his eyes and shakes his head. Trent looks like his eyes are about to pop out of his head.
I grin widely at their surprise, but tug my sleeves back down all the same. "Alright I'm done boasting. Let's go sit down."
Grabbing Rylan's hand, I tug him toward what looks to be the living room, where I can hopefully find a couch to rest my legs on.
Rylan is acting like a small child, whining loudly and fake crying as I drag him along.
I pull him to a couch free of smooching couples and push him down. Ethan sits down on the other end of the couch. Finn huffs and pushes Rylan's legs out of the way before also flopping on the couch. Trent remains standing.
I sigh with agony as we sit in a awkward silence. "This is a party. We should be partying. The hell are we doing sitting down?! Who wants to come dance with me?"
They all stare at me blankly. Ethan wildly gestures to me then the crowd. "You just wanted to sit down!! Now you want to get up and dance?!?" He waves his arms around exasperatedly. "Argh! Women!!"
I glare at him. "So what?! I want to dance now, I get it I can't make up my mind, but now I have the dance jeebies again, so any volunteers?"
I glance at all their faces one by one. Except for Rylan, whose face is buried in the couch. I have no idea how he's breathing.
I sigh. "Alright I'll leave you all be, but I'm going to be somewhere over there alright? Come get me when you want to leave."
Right as I'm about to turn around, Rylan lifts up his hand. "I would." I can barely here his muffled reply.
I grin victoriously. "Hell yeah. Come on drunkie, let's dance."
