"Cassidy, do you want to stop at McDonald's on the way to the hospital?" My mom asked while she still kept her eyes on the road.

"Sure," I said right as my stomach growled. I haven't eaten anything since yesterday before all of this happened. Fortunately, there was a McDonald's only a few blocks down the road. Not surprising since they are so common.

My mom and I strolled into the building to a full house. There were multiple lines of people facing the main counter. In every line, it looked like there were hundreds of exhausted and angry people. I'm always anxious around people in this mood. I feel that if I do something to disturb them, then they would attack me in some way.

I stayed skin close to my mom just like a little kid would when we entered the line. It took forever to reach the counter, but I didn't want to complain because the worker behind the cash register appeared to be exhausted and angry as well.

"We will have two fruit parfaits, please," my mom spoke for the both of us. She knows how I feel around these type of people.

The worker slowly took the money out of my mom's hand and handed her back the change. He acted just like a snail while getting our fruit parfaits, it appeared as if he was walking 0.5 miles per hour.

Once we finally received our parfaits my mom thanked the worker and we continued on to a booth nearby. The comfy booth that we sat at was facing a flat screen that was on the facing wall. While I was consuming the delicious fruit parfait filled with strawberries and blueberries, I was watching the news that was on the television.

Last night, a 14-year-old girl was seriously injured when she was struck by an oncoming truck while riding her bicycle.

My mom turned her head towards me and spoke,"Do you think that she's reporting on Megan?" I kept on staring at the screen, oblivious to what my mom said.

She was brought to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. We have confirmed that Megan Johnson wasn't alone durring the accident, she was with her friend, Cassidy Daniels. Cassidy however was not injured.

I almost wanted to go into the TV screen and correct her, she said that Megan and I are just friends. We are actually BEST friends. Oh well, it can't be changed now. I just wished that news reporters would get there facts right.

"Well I guess they are talking about Megan," my mom nudged me. Her voice sounded light and airy, she shouldn't be this happy at this time. Oh wait I forgot, she hasn't experienced watching her best friend get damagingly hurt and believe that it is her own fault.

I have also been informed that Megan had internal bleeding in her brain, but was operated on to take care of this. However, it didn't go well. She lost a lot of blood and was attached to a pump to put blood back into her system. Unfortunately, I have learned that only 10 minutes ago, Megan has sadly passed away from all her serious injuries.

That was the last of what I heard of the report. I immediately jumped out of my seat and pushed away from the table. I bolted out of the McDonald's with multiple tears streaming down my face. I didn't even care if anyone noticed me, they don't understand what I am going through right now. They can go ahead and judge me, I don't care because all that is on my mind at this moment is Megan. Now she is gone forever.

I barreled into the garden next to the McDonald's and started kicking away at the grass. Even in this sorrow mode, I still didn't want to disrupt the natural beauty of all the grown flowers around me. It took awhile before my mom came out by me to stop my madness.
