Homecoming

It has been a couple days since Hallie found out about Megan and she's stayed pretty much normal for the most part of it. There has been a few times where she would ask me how it happened, where did it happen and whatever else about it happening. I can't blame her though, she is just being curious, that's all.

Also one of the most important weeks of high school just came upon us, HOMECOMING WEEK!

Since it is my first year in high school I really don't know that much about homecoming. All James has told me is that there is a football game on Friday and a dance on Saturday. I already knew that though.

"Cassidy, did you get a dress yet?" Hallie asked me as I walked up to my locker before first hour. She was still getting junk out of her locker as I walked up.

"Nope, but I'm going tonight, my mom is taking me," I said as I opened my locker.

"Well, I got mine yesterday and it is just beautiful," she squealed with delight. "It is an amazing coral color, there are sparkles all around the torso, the straps are the same coral color and are partly translucent, and it has a bottom that flows just above my knees."

"Wow, that sounds wonderful," I said as I closed my locker.

I spent the rest of the day wondering what kind of dress I was going to buy. Would it be long, short, sparkly, non-sparkly, bright, dark, or whatever else? I was getting caught up in all of my dress daydreaming that I was missing out on what was being taught in school that day. Although does it really matter this week?

Once school was over and my mom and I got to the mall, we went straight towards the dress shop. It was a colorful shop that was filled with loads of dresses of different sizes, shape and color. My mind was being blown as I realized how many dresses there were to choose from, how could I only choose one?

Fortunately, I happened to choose a navy blue dress with straps that criss-cross in the front, it is tight on the torso and the lower half flows, it just reaches my knees. It was gorgeous and I was so excited to show it off at the dance. I was also excited to tell Hallie all about the dress.

The rest of the week ended up to go pretty quickly and it was soon the Friday before the dance.

"Do you want to come over to my house before the dance?" Hallie asked me at Study Hall.

"Of course, I don't have anywhere else to go," I said. Hallie chuckled at my answer.

"What a surprise," she teased me.

"The same is with you," I teased her back.

"Fine," she gave up on the teasing and we both started to laugh. We couldn't stop, but a teacher came over to shut us up.

"Do you want to go to the game today?" I asked Hallie. I really didn't want to go, but if Hallie wanted to go then I would go with her.

"Sure, it sounds like fun," she answered.

"Great," I said as I gave a fake smile. I just hoped that it would be fun.

The football game came sooner than I expected. Hallie and I were driven by James to the game. Just as we parked, James ran out of the car and down to the football stadium. Again, he went to go see his friends and he left me in the dust. Luckily, I was with Hallie this time around.

"Does he always do that?" Hallie asked me about James. She was gesturing towards James to let me know that she was talking about him.

"Yep," I said as we walked down to the football stadium.

"Where should we go?" Hallie screamed over the loud and noisy crowd. We just reached the football stadium and were wondering where we were going to sit.
