Finding Out

It has been a few days in high school since the first day. I continued to talk with Hallie and never saw Blake so far again. This is probably because he is in a different grade than I am. Yet, I don't know for sure what grade he is in. He might be a sophomore, junior or senior. If he is a junior, James must have a class with him.

After, my science class, I strolled along the hallway trying to find my brother. He was nowhere to be found until I noticed his dark brown hair. He was at his locker putting binders into it.

"So, James, do you have any classes with the guy that I told you about?" I asked him as I laid my back on the locker next to him.

"What guy?" He slammed his locker. He never really cares about school property.

"Blake," I annoyingly spoke.

"Oh, yeah him. I have him in one class," he turned to face me.

"Well, what class?" I continued to annoy him.

"Math," he answered.

"Ok, bye," I walked away. That was all the information that I had to get out of him. Although, James did seem a little confused as to why I asked him about Blake. It might be because Blake is sort of cute, but never mind that.

I entered the French classroom and sat down next to my friend, Hallie. She is an incredible friend because she just gets me. Although, I haven't told her about Megan yet, I just don't know if I can trust her. It may take a while for her to gain my full trust.

"Hello," she smiled as I sat down next to her.

"Hi," I took out my French folder and laid it gently on my desk.

"What took you so long? You are usually in her before me," she asked.

"Oh, well, I just talked to my brother," I said.

"You have a brother?" She was surprised. I guess I really haven't told her about myself as much as she has told me about her life. Remember she was the one who told me her full name, which included her last name. I guess she just loves to talk about herself, and yet she will still listen to everyone around her. I don't know what is going on in her mind.

"Yep," I was not at all amused that I have a brother. I would much rather have a sister, but that's just my opinion.

"Cool, what grade is he in?" She asked.

"He is a junior and his name is James," I added his name to the answer.

French class began and of course the teacher had to assign the class a project. Yeah!!!! Just kidding. She told us that we could work with partners and Hallie and I eyed each other instantly. Then she said that the project would be a cultural project on whatever we would want to do with it, it just had to have the culture of France brought into it.

After French class was over, and Study Hall began, Hallie and I talked about what we would do for the project.

"So, what were you thinking of doing for the project?" I asked her as I took out a notebook to write notes on.

"We could do a traditional dance," she suggested.

"I don't do dancing," I truthfully said.

"Ok, we could....uh....I don't know," she stuttered.

"Ok, maybe we could make a French dish for the project," I suggested.

"Yeah, I like that idea. But what would we make?" She was excited about making a French dish for the project.

"Well, I know that escargot is popular in France," I spoke as I had a cheekily smile on my face.

"No," she flat out said without a smile.
