-CAITLIN'S POV-

"Um, excuse me." "Sorry." "Uh-" "Can I just-" "Fit right through here-" "Er-" "Sorry." I mumbled as I tried to make my way through the crowds of high schoolers to get to the entrance. I finally approached the stairs that led to the big white doors to Smithgrove Highschool.

I'm a sophomore in this school, back in Tennessee I would've been a freshman, I guess the grades go different here in North Carolina. So basically, I'll be even dumber than everyone else than I was last year.

I take a deep breath, flatten my skirt, part my hair, then look around to see if anyone's looking.

They aren't. Of course not-- who would look at a new girl from the country?

I sigh and go to open the door but it's suddenly all a blur.

My eyes open and slowly my vision comes back.

"Helloo?" A blonde boy says to me. He's leaned over but I can tell he's tall.

I don't remember how this happened or how long I've been sitting here sprawled on the floor but I feel really dizzy and I'm afraid of throwing up on this boy I don't know.

"Are you okay?" He said. "I hit you with the door.." "Ooh you're bleeding." He said and touched my forehead.

"Don't touch me!" I finally said, standing up now and experiencing extreme dizziness.

"Um.. What?" The boy said with a laugh.

"You don't even know me and you just hit me with a door, potentially ruining my first day." I said, completely annoyed with this idiot.

"I didn't mean to what's your problem?" He said. Uh he's such a jerk he doesn't understand.

"Okay I'm going to do the right thing and take you to the nurse. But I don't want to." He said with a frown. "Just follow me and remember you're making me late."

I followed unwillingly and after a while I suddenly felt horrible.

I tried so hard to hold it in but I couldn't.. I turned to tell the boy who I still didn't know the name of that I felt sick but I just threw up all over his shoes and pants.

"Well." He smiled a fake smile through clenched teeth. "I guess we're even."
