-CAITLIN'S POV-

My mom went to work before I woke up today.

I was a little nervous when there was a ring at the doorbell, I wasn't expecting anyone.

I braced myself and opened the door.

It was no robber,

it was Luke.

"Luke? What are you doing you should be getting ready for school."

"I'm not going to school today." He said. "Neither are you."

"Um yes I am." I said, showing him my backpack on my shoulder.

"Just come with me. I called in and said we were both sick. So now you have to come." He said.

"WHAT LUKE!"

"We're just going to the movies and then I'll drive you home. You'll be back before your mom comes home."

"But isn't that illegal?!"

"Maybe in Tennessee, not in North Carolina." He said, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh." I said. I think I trust him.

"So you're coming?"

"Uh yeah." The bad girl in me said.

I locked the door and got into the passenger seat his old black car.

"You're a good driver, right?" I asked. Caroline's gonna be so worried and mad at me.

The thought that kept me from coming out of Luke Hemmings car on a Wednesday and going to school was that noone besides Caroline would be worried about me skipping school.

"Im a great driver." He said and pulled out of the driveway.

I prayed the whole time we wouldn't crash and we'd make it to the movie theatre.

He held the door for me when we walked in.

"Wait is this a date?" I said.

"Do you want it to be a date?" He asked.

"Well I'm already skipping school with Luke Hemmings, the baddest guy in our school so why not just call it a date?" I said as I got my popcorn.

"I'm not that bad." He said as we walked to our theatre.

"That's not what I've heard."

"Then why am I taking you to The Fault in Our Stars?" He said.

"Oh. Not my first guess. I expected a horror." I admitted.

"Yeah well I noticed you with the book and I highly assume you're crushing on Augustus Waters." He said.

"Well not as much as Caroline, but he's real cute." I said as we took our seats in the back.

"I read the book so many times. Don't tell the guys though."

"Luke are you okay? You're so.. different." I said.

"I have many personalities." He said with a smile.

The movie was great, I completely forgot I was being bad, cutting school.

I teared up alot throughout the movie but not enough to make my mascara run.

When we got out into the light of the theatre lobby, I turned and stared at Luke now, not scary or bad but real and kind of awkward. "Luke are you CRYING?" I said.

"No. This place is old you know, allergies."

"You don't have to be so tough all the time." I said, going on my tippy toes to wipe a tear.

"Kiss me." He said but before I got he chance I saw a familiar old lady at the corner of my eye.

"Luke we have to go." I said in panic.

But it was too late. "Ms. Douglas and Mr. Hemmings. Shouldn't you two be learning right now?" I heard Ms. Mint, my science teacher say. I wanted to ask her why she wasn't in school but Luke interrupted my thoughts.

"We were just leaving. We didn't attend today because we both have the flu. Our parents thought we should get some fresh air. They're coming now."

"Fresh. Air. In. A. MOVIE THEATRE?!" She scolded. "You two are in LOADS of trouble."
