Dally's Secret (Outsiders FF)

Part 9

TwoBit POV

Kitty had been asleep for three days. Dally had to go somewhere the fourth day for a couple hours, so he asked me to stay at his apartment with Kitty. In case she wakes up or something. After a half hour, I heard a noise in Dallys room. It sounded like a thump. When I went in, I saw Kitty kneeling on the floor. "What the h*** are you doing?" She looked at me and said, "Don't swear at me. I rolled out of bed. Can you help me up?" I did and almost went out of the room when she asked," Can you lay on the bed with me?" Usually I wouldn't but I felt bad she was alone. So I went on the bed and we talked for a couple minutes. Then she said "Thank you." "For what?" "For being so nice to me. Usually guys are all up on me and don't really treat me nicely." "Oh no problem. You deserve better than that. If I didn't your brother would kill me." She laughed. Then she kissed me on the lips. "Im going to sleep now. You can leave if you want." I didn't want to but I had to watch the rest of the apartment. "I know you don't but I understand" she said as I walked out. Man she's the best girl I've ever met.

Dally POV

I was going to get revenge for Kitty, but Darry talked me out of it. Johnny and Pony were with me. "Hey how's KitKat?" Johnny asked. "I dunno Johnny. She's been asleep for three days. So fine I guess." I was still upset with her for not telling me she was in the room. "Why is she like that? Like sleeping so long?" Pony asked. "Lost a lot of blood in her leg and got beat up so she's sore." Well what I really had to do was go get my car that Soda and Steve were fixing. But Johnny and Pony saw me and walked with me for a while.

Darry POV

The next day...

We got a call at the DX and it said Dally was in an accident. He didn't die, just in bad condition. So Steve and I closed early and ran to where Kitty was with Johnny and Pony. "KitKat! KitKat!"

Kitty POV

I was with Johnny and Pony at the diner when Soda and Steve ran in screaming my name. "What?" I asked. "It's Dally. He was in an accident." Some switch in my brain went off and I was all on them asking questions. "What? Where is he? What happened? Is he alright?" Steve said, "He was driving and he got into a crash or something. Come on guys we have to go to the hospital."

Steve POV

I was sitting in the back next to Kitty. And she was looking out the window, but I could see she was crying. "Hey don't worry. Ol Dally will be fine," I said. I hate to see girls cry. Especially pretty girls. All she did was wipe her eyes and nod. When we got there, she got right out of the car. She was speeding down the hall as fast as she could in her heels. "Where's Dally?" she asked. The nurse showed her where. We were all in front of the room. But she stopped us and said, "Let me go in first."

Kitty POV

I quietly closed the door. And Dally was awake. "Hey KitKat. I got into a little accident." "Little Dally? You almost got killed. And I bet you it wasn't your own car either. But at least you're alright." He laughed and said, " Well now you sound like me." He sat up so I could sit down. "I'm fine- just a little sore. I'll never leave you again. I promised you. We've only got each other." "Not true. We have the gang." "Yeah but you're the best sister ever and I love you." I started crying. "I love you too." "Da**it, KitKat, don't cry." He hugged me. I looked at him, and remembered what happened to me and said,"I guess were both pretty beat up now, huh?" "Yeah. Come on let's go. The guys are probably worried and this place gives me the creeps." That made me laugh. "I know. Me too."  When we got out, the whole gang was there. Once they figured out Dally was fine, we all went home. I walked back with TwoBit, Soda, and Steve so Darry could drive Dally, Johnny, and Pony.   On the way, TwoBit and I started kissing. I saw Soda make a face at Steve and I kicked him. So Soda broke the kissing session, him and Steve picked me up, and wouldn't let me go until we got to the (Curtis) house. TwoBit ran behind. "Let go of me!" They carried me all the way to the house, and threw me in the yard. Then Soda screamed, "Hey guys! Come and attack KitKat!" They all ran out, even Darry. I ran down the street and they all followed. Then Steve knocked me down on the grass. We were all wrestling. And then we were walking home. And I realized something. Even though I grew up in the streets and had a bad life, I still have a family. Maybe not my real family. But its mine and I love them like brothers. They're always there to watch out for me. Darry protects me and helps me fix my mistakes along the way. Dally is my brother, and we would die for each other. TwoBit is still my boyfriend, and he can make me smile any time. Steve is my wrestling buddy, and helps me out with anything. Even learning how to flip off cars. Sodapop is always teaching me how to make the best out of every situation. Johnny is my most trustworthy friend, and keeps all my secrets. And Ponyboy taught me to stay the way I am. I love them. No matter what, I am an Outsider. A greaser. And nobody will tell me otherwise. My name is Kitty Winston. And I have found my family.
