Junmyeon's eyes widen at the sight in front of him.
One double cheeseburger, a tall cup of coke, a large serving of vanilla ice-cream and three large sets of fries.
Hikari giggled and shrugged her shoulders, her expression screaming 'why-not-fries-are-great'.
"I remember how my parents would get another set of fries whenever we got the chance to eat out," Junmyeon said as he took out the burger from it's wrapping.
He placed the burger in front of her and began to eat the fries. She gave him the biggest smile and started to munch on the burger.
On his fifth fry, Junmyeon said, "They didn't have much but it was fun to see my brothers enjoy the fries."
Hikari put down the burger and took a fry. She covered it in with a bit of vanilla ice-cream and fed Junmyeon, "Something like this?"
"Exactly like that," he gleefully replied as he ate the ice-cream covered fry.
The two continued to enjoy the food. Hikari managed to eat half of the cheeseburger, which she gave Junmyeon the remaining half.
She kept on a smile whilst eating the fries. She felt a sense of comfort from looking at him eating.
"I guess this is why my parents used to bring me to eat fast food every once in a while..." Hikari mumbled to herself. However, it was loud enough for Junmyeon to hear, despite the restaurant being filled with people.
"Why is that?" Junmyeon asked, making her a bit flared up. She stammered, "Not– Nothing..."
"It's a form of family time for us. We couldn't really go to the fair every weekend or watch a movie every once a month. We didn't have that much luxury but this kind of outing..." Junmyeon looked around. Eventually, his eyes land on hers. He smiled
"This was more than enough," he said as he took the last bite of the burger.
"I guess that was my parents was trying to teach me, well, indirectly, I guess..." Hikari nodded to herself slightly.
"Some of the kids I knew say that it's boring to have fast food every week, they want to go to this theme park, go watch this movie, this premier and things. But..." she paused and eat a couple of fries.
"It's never been that way for me. It's comforting. The smiles I could see when kids get their toys from the cute meal boxes," Hikari laughed as she remembered the times she came just to eat fries with her dad.
"I've seen a kid who danced the chicken dance for a whole minute because his mum got him an ice-cream," Junmyeon chuckled as he stook his head.
"You sure that wasn't you?" she asked with a smirk. He rolled his eyes and fed her a few pieces of fries to shut her up (which half worked).
"So, do you want our parents to meet here or something?" Junmyeon questioned and took a sip of the coke.
"Yeah, that would be nice. Always wanted my parents to see how much of a cute dork you are when you're eating your fries with ice-cream," Hikari heartedly chuckled with the biggest smile.
Junmyeon ruffled her hair until it was an absolute mess, "You're the dork."
"My cute dork."
