It was Junmyeon's idea to laze around the day after their exams finish. Conveniently enough, both of their last papers fell on the same Monday, on the second week of the exam period.
"I can't believe I managed to finish this semester," Hikari stated as she drops her body onto the mat that Junmyeon had laid out.
"I knew you could do it. You love writing a lot. So... it's doing something you have to do but you don't mind doing because you enjoy it so much," Junmyeon said as he sits down next to her.
Hikari huffed, "I've been writing so much, essays, creative writing, I was getting tired of writing, or typing but okay whatever, it's the same thought process."
"If you're not suffering, you're not doing your degree right," Junmyeon added as he sneers.
"Say whatever you want, I'm just happy to be on break," Hikari said.
She turned to look at Junmyeon, "How do you always act so calm, so peaceful?"
"What do you mean?" Junmyeon asked, turning to Hikari and giving her a raised brow.
"Like you always have that peaceful expression on your face, like you're not bothered with all the stress,"
"I always look like I need to murder someone because I keep on feeling stressed. But you look like you have no worries in life," Hikari explained.
Junmyeon hummed a reply before he laid down next to Hikari.
"Maybe it's just my face, this handsome face that you love," Junmyeon laughed at his own joke. Hikari gave him a poke with her elbow and he apologised.
He took in a deep breath and turned his head to view Hikari's side profile, in which, she turned to look at him as well.
"I believe that everything is worth something in the end and the troubled days never last too long. Maybe because I'm so used to that ideal that I somewhat become at peace with whatever is in my way?" Junmyeon turned away and shrugged his shoulders.
"And I'm sure it's the same as you because you always have a positive glow to your face. No matter how hard things are for you, I will always see you with that peaceful expression," Junmyeon said.
Hikari tilted her head just a little so that her head is rested on Junmyeon's shoulders.
"Imagine how good my peaceful expression would be if I'm truly not having my life on fire. Maybe it would look better than yours," Hikari questioned with a sarcastic tone.
"If your jokes are like mine, you're already halfway at this rate," Junmyeon sneers.
"Thank you for being there when it became too hard. That peaceful expression of yours never fail to make it tolerable," Hikari softly spoke.
