"Hello, Katherine, have you considered what I told you earlier?" Pulitzer asks in a sinister manner. Katherine nods and doesn't say anything. Her father smiles and says, "I'm happy to see that you stayed here. Now go to bed and say nothing about this ordeal or I won't be afraid to make sure you never get a job and Kelly never sees the sun again." Katherine almost does a happy dance as she walks to her room. Her father has no idea about what happened. She just has to hope that Jack scuffs the Delanceys up. Really hard. She changes into her nightclothes and happily hops into her bed. Her mind swirls with thoughts of Jack, her father, Davey, Race, Spot, Mush and the other Newsies as she drifts off to sleep. Little does she know that Jack still has his hands full with Oscar and Morris. He has led the two brothers down a side street and is currently running until he nearly runs into a brick wall. Oscar laughs through his haggard breaths. Jack simply cracks his knuckles only sweating slightly from the fist fight on Katherine's lawn. Morris and Oscar are both gasping for air and Jack laughs,

"Not as fast as ya thought ya were, huh?" He challenges and both brothers shoot him a glare. Jack can't help but laugh at them. Oscar growls and throws a fist in Jack's direction, but Jack expertly blocks it. He's been in enough scrapes with these two to handle himself and walk away with only a few bruises. Oscar tries again and Jack responds by punching him in the nose. The older boy gasps and holds his nose.

"Kelly, ya broke my nose," Oscar yelps as he doubles over in pain. Morris takes advantage of the distraction and lands a hit on Jack.

"How's it feel, Jacky?" Morris asks rudely. Jack stands his ground and punches him back and the two engage in full fight. Fists fly. Jack takes a hard hit to the face and the Delanceys laugh in his face. Jack swings and hits Oscar in the nose a third time. Oscar rears back in such a sudden pain that he whacks his head against the brick building. Jack moves away from Morris and towards Oscar hoping to knock him unconscious. Morris takes a swing at Jack and misses, hitting Oscar in the face. Oscar blacks out and Morris starts throwing punches out at Jack in order to take out his enemy. Jack takes one to the jaw and sighs inwardly knowing that the boys will be worried. His knuckles, he can feel, are bloodied and bruised. Katherine is going to be angry that he kept fighting even once she was safe. Morris punches relentlessly and Jack blocks them as best as he can. Jack lands a good hit on Morris's cheek bone and Morris snarls,

"You may have beat my brother, Cowboy. But ya ain't beatin me." Morris angrily raises a fist and throws another fist at Jack. Jack dodges it and Morris's fists flies into the brick wall behind Jack. He yells angrily, "Ya gonna pay for dat, Kelly." Jack stays on his guard and lands another punch on Morris. Morris and Jack tussle with their fists for a while longer. Suddenly, Morris slams Jack up against the brick wall. Hard. Jack is breathing hard and is trying to find a way out. He notices the fire escape ladder folded up by a nearby building. Jack shoves Morris away from and sends a good punch to his nose. He runs, jumps, and grabs the bottom rung of the ladder. The fire escape ladder unfolds and Jack jumps off once it gets close to the ground. He puts his foot on it as soon as the ladder hits the ground. Morris, who has tripped over a crate, is trying to stand. Jack climbs the ladder and makes it to the top just as Morris comes to it. The ladder swings up with force and knocks Morris back onto his feet. Morris hits his head hard and blacks out. Jack pushes the ladder back down and runs off to the Lodging House for the night. Once he gets there, he sees that four of his boys are waiting up for him. Race, Romeo, Mush, and Specs all stand in the doorway staring at a beaten and bruised Jack Kelly.

AN:/ Sorry that these chapters are so short recently. I'm not sure why I chunked these to be so short. Originally, this story was not chaptered and I chaptered it just for the sake of the website. This chapter is totally an action scene that I made up. I hope you enjoyed it all the same though. I know I said this in the last author's note, but I love it when Jack wins a fight. Things will start heating up again next chapter. I hope you enjoyed this one even though it is super short and not as great as my other things. Hopefully we will get somewhere new in the next chapter. Please tell me what you think of it even though it is not that fantastic. I still enjoy feedback. Thanks for reading this one! See you next week, friends!
