"Jake! Don't go down there!" Nea called out to him when he was about to go down into the basement.

He turned his head to Nea and gave her a questioning look. She moved over to him quickly while staying low on the ground then stood up and stared down the steps.

"That's Leatherface down there. I saw him go in. Insidious camping."

Jake raised an eyebrow, suspicious of her wanting to have that chest. "How do I know you're not lying?"

Nea rolled her eyes and gave him a glare. "Do you want to see? Go ahead. I'm not saving."

He considered the thought and sighed. He didn't want to risk being watched by the killer until he dies, though he didn't want Nea to have a victory treat if she was indeed trying to take the chest for herself so instead, he made her work on a generator with him just outside the shack. Taking out the middle generators would be best to do on this map especially if it's Leatherface. The dungeon play would be harder to get if the generators left are on the outskirts.

Halfway through the generator, a distant one was activated leaving four left to do. The air remained still. No tension and no sign of the killer walking around in the distance. Their heartbeats stayed calm and Jake found himself glancing back at the doorway of the shack. Leatherface could come charging at them at any second if he wanted to.

The generator came to life and Nea headed for another, leaving Jake behind without another word. He watched her go before disappearing behind the compressed metal walls. The shack seemed to appear inviting and tempted him to descend down into the dungeon for that chest. His greed could be his doom if he gave in to his temptation.

He wondered back to that particular match with Micheal.

A tight grip snapped him out of his thoughts before a scream erupted nearby followed by the blares of the exit gates being powered.

Claudette pulled at his arm and shouted at him with fear laced in her eyes. "Run Jake!"

His heartbeat rose quickly and a revving chainsaw was enough for him to sprint to the doors with Claudette. He glanced behind him and cursed at the sight of the cannibal. The white apron stained with blood and the smell of the putrid skin on his face made his stomach clench.

Jake made a run for it, going with Claudette and hugging the walls, turning as many tight corners as they could as they tried to make the cannibal bump into the obstacles.

"Did someone die?!" Jake called out to the curly haired girl ahead of him. She vaulted a window and shouted back a 'yes' to him.

Before Jake could reach the the window, the cannibal swung his chainsaw madly and Jake had no choice but to quickly go around the cannibal and dodge his attack. The turn was too tight for the chainsaw and it bumped against a stack of wheels that were firmly pressed against each other.

Leatherface grunted angrily and had a tantrum, swinging his chainsaw in the air before realising he was going to lose the two others he was chasing. The gates were already open and Claudette was waiting in the exit with Quentin who ran off as soon as he saw Jake come running.

Claudette was missing her flashlight which meant she must've ran out of durability or the cannibal decided to have Franklin's Demise. It was such an annoying perk that the killer would make you drop any item you were holding.

"Hurry Jake!" Claudette called out to him and once Jake was with her, they both ran out the doors. The cannibal, only having caught up and watching them go with his disgusting face. Nea didn't make it this round.

The Campfire

Claudette and Jake made it back to the fire and they saw that Nea still hasn't appeared yet. She sat down on a log and looked around, frowning when he noticed that Quentin had disappeared but didn't ask about it. He could've started another match straight away.

Jake sat on the ground. A few dead leaves crunching when he sat on the forest floor they were in. He rubbed his head slowly. How many generators were turned on while he was... thinking. Three? Four? He looked up to Claudette to see what had happened and she looked quite upset. "Hey Claudette... what.. what happened while I was out?"

The black haired girl looked up to him and gave him a concerned look. "You have been standing on the spot for awhile. Lucky enough the cannibal didn't go for you and was more interested in tunneling Nea."

As soon as she mentioned the ghetto girl's name, Nea appeared in smoke and cinders by the campfire. Her eyes closed but she was completely fine. Injury wise.

Claudette stood up and crouched over to her, shaking her lightly. "Sorry about that Nea. I couldn't get you off..." She apologised regretfully. Nea had been mori'd and so she was out for some time.

Jake sighed and didn't ask about it. He decided to stand up and go for a walk while he waited for a match. "I'll start ahead Claudette while you take care of Nea." He mumbled and went off to the woods where Claudette watched him leave. His hand tucked in his pockets. The botanist sighed and continued tending to the other survivor, making sure she was going to feel better as soon as she woke up.

While Jake walked around in the fog, the thickness of the dark mist increased and he paused to see if he was going to appear in a match but that wouldn't be possible. He would first see the survivors who would be with him and he was certain he wasn't going to black out or have that episode where everything passed by him without him knowing.

Yet, he found himself in another location as the fog separated. Red and blue lights flashing, a black cement road, and suburban surroundings. "Haddonfield...?" He uttered quietly, confused as to why he was here but something wasn't right. He felt... alone. He didn't think there were other survivors with him and he became worried as to why he was taken here.
