After a chemical manufacturing plants accidentally caught fire, chemicals were released in the air. This caused the mutation to occur in some humans, giving them the ability to do things that were once considered as 'superhuman'. While you were putting the previous day's trash into the bin to be collected by the garbage collectors, you happen to overhear your neighbour's thoughts. You discovered that you have the ability to hear everyone's thoughts around you. You were even able to distinguish the owner of each thought if you concentrated hard enough. One day, news were flying around of a murderer hiding in the very same city you were living in. What you didn't know was that the murderer was your next door neighbour. The same person who would greet you a good morning every single day with a bright grin.
